I am having wrong time-stamps on files. Can you help?
The last-saved times for files listed in Dropbox.com are wrong. For example, a file on my computer (Windows 7) says the last save time was 1:51 PM. The version in Dropbox says 12:51 pm on the same da...

Hi JaneA,
It appears to be completely resolved. I didn't change any settings on my computer. Possibly it was due to editing some files that I opened in Dropbox using Word online when I was on my tablet. Maybe the Word servers have different times. But then, I don't know why they didn't sync to my Windows PC with the same times, regardless. Anyway, it seems to be working normally now. Thanks again.

Hey David R.98,
First of all, thanks for your cooperation and following-up on our official support channel. I appreciate the time you've devoted on clarifying this!
You've mentioned that this has been resolved as of today, though I'd just like to ask you whether you've changed any setting locally on your computer in the meantime (just for future reference).
Please keep me updated here!
Thanks,
JaneA

I have the same issue, the only difference is my last save time was 1:51 PM on my PC, while the version in Dropbox says 2:51 pm on the same date. I am here in Knoxville, TN. Any suggestions for resolving this issue will be appreciated.

Hi Walter,
Thanks for your fast response. Sure, I just took several screenshots with two files as an example:
Picture 1 shows the original files stored on my computer;
Picture 2 is when the files are uploaded to my Dropbox, you can see that the time for the first file (last modified in March) is advanced by one hour, the other one modified in June is normal;
Picture 3 is when I download a copy from my Dropbox, the time all reset to the Greenwich mean time.
My settings for the time zone are Automatic time zone On, GMT-04:00. My location is Knoxville, Tennessee.
Thanks!

The time zone for my account is GMT-04:00, auto time zone on.
The time sone for Windows is Eastern Time, UTC-5, Daylight Saving Time auto-adjusted.
Thanks!
- Walter4 years agoDropbox StaffThanks for clearing this up for me HappyPing.
If you're still having issues with this, could you try clearing your browser's cache or even another browser?
Let me know if this persists! - HappyPing4 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Just tried it, clearing the browser cache, does not resolve the issue, tried it on a different browser - Microsoft Edge, same issue. This is such a weird issue.
