Dropbox says I'm using 2.33GB, but my device shows I'm using 184MB.
Dropbox says I'm using 2.33 of my 2 Gb storage. My computer shows I'm using 184 Mb. Huge difference! But I cannot upload any new files because I'm "over the limit."

What is at www.dropbox.com/home ? Does that match your desktop?
The important thing here is that syncing stops when you are over quota so your computer file size is possibly irrelevant. If the system shows you are over quota, you are.
Also check www.dropbox.com/backups to make sure that's not activated.
And dont forget shared folders use up space.

The size on desktop properties say I'm using 184 MB. Online, I'm told I'm using 233 of 225 Gb. It will not allow me to upload new files.

DonnaES, to clarify, are you unable to upload new files via your web account or your desktop app (even though it says you’re not over-quota)?
If you compare the email address you see here with the one you see on your desktop app, are they the exact same?
Finally, I’d like a screenshot of what you see on this page.
