storage full but files are only at half the size
Hello everyone, This is my last try at fixing my storage issue before leaving dropbox. like other users before, my plan says my storage is at over 2 GB but my files are at less than half that. i have permanently deleted any deleted files. i have looked at events, nothing unusual there. any ideas as to how to fix?Thanks in advance, Sara
My account is full and stopped syncing due to a shared folder
I am so angry right now that I wish I could just delete DropBox and not use it again. But I need to use it because that's the way my Client prefers to share files. Because they have shared folders that are bigger than my quota, it has limited my abilities on dropbox to where I can't even upload files to send back to them. So I'm just using my Google Drive and I'll use WeTransfer if I need. I hope someone from DropBox hears this and does something about it. It's dirty and not right to try to force someone into a paid subscription, or a bigger paid subscription, because the people that they do business for use a larger DropBox subscription/plan. Also, would you please add a column to show the size of each folder/file so you don't have to hover over each folder and say "show file/folder info" to find the size??
Storage is full but I can't access files to delete
I have been getting a notice that my dropbox 2GB is full and stopped syncing and that I should upgrade. But I first want to go in and through my files to delete old files I don't need anymore. But when I sign in to my dropbox I don't see any folders and files, it looks empty. So how can I access my dropbox? Thank you so much for your help.The recipient of my referral used a device that had Dropbox installed before and it's ineligible.
Dear friends at Dropbox, My friend's daughter will be going to further her studies in another town next month, my wife and i decided to bless her with a laptop previously used by my wife. After I formatted the laptop with clean installed Windows 11. I referred her to use Dropbox and guided her to go through the installation using the email link I sent. I later noticed my referral is marked as ineligible. Reading from other Community discussion, I believe it must be due to the laptop already previously had Dropbox installed. I already bought a new mini PC for my wife 2 years ago and she no longer use the laptop, that is why we are giving it away to my friend's daughter, so she can use it when she goes further her studies. Any advise on how this matter can be rectified would be most appreciated, thank you in advance. Sincerely, Jason
I've sent referrals to many people, but we haven't redeemed the extra space.
Hi everyone, I would appreciate anyone's help with this issue. I know for a fact that over 30 accounts have used my referral link to create new Dropbox accounts. When I say I know for a fact, it's because I've seen it, and yet my Dropbox account is still at 2.5 gigabytes of space. That doesn't add up. My referral link is [removed per Community Guidelines]. That's the link that has been used each time. And yet, nothing. So, what is the issue, and how can I get a resolution on this and get the benefits from each one of those referrals?
Why has my referral quota been removed, and I'm down to 2 GB only?
My account HAD 7.5 GB of personal referral space and 2.5 GB of other referral space, for a total of 12 GB. All the extra space is gone now? I'm down to 2GB? Why? I'm getting Can't Sync messages, and other errors. I see other people are having similar issues. When I signed up, over a decade ago, I was informed my extra space was free for the life of my account
A new referral has been marked ineligible, even though my friend has a brand new computer.
Hello all, A friend of mine has purchased a new computer. I recommended them to install Dropbox and invited them to use my referral link. The link was sent to an email which was new and never had Dropbox attached to it. The computer was also purchased a few days ago. I do know that a friend has had Dropbox installed on their old computer which was used by another family member. This had a different email linked to it as the Dropbox was used by another family member. To conclude, I did refer a NEW client. They have not used Dropbox before, but used a computer that had Dropbox installed on it. Now they have their own computer, would like to have their own Dropbox and this is considered to be ineligible by Dropbox. The new computer is not linked to the other computer. What is the problem?
