I set my Dropbox and folders to online only but it is still taking up the majority of my hard drive. The files are (also?) located on my c drive: C:\Users\JaneDoe\Dropbox. If I delete a folder from the C drive it deletes it everywhere. I'm not sure how to fix this as I have never had this problem before.Solved193Views0likes2CommentsMy Dropbox Account Disappeared! I had 5TB of files that now show as 2GB.
I need help to get my DB account back. It disappeared after being a DB customer for 10 yrs plus. I had an account with like 5TB of files and now when I log in, it shows me as having a basic 2gb account with NONE OF MY FILES!!! How can I speak or chat with a human??? Thanks!35Views0likes2CommentsI keep receiving emails about being over-quota, but there aren't any files on my account.
I receive emails from Dropbox telling me my Basic account has reached its limit; however, when I log into my account there are no files there. I have searched in all folders, there is nothing there. I have also tried to locate these files using my laptop account and there is nothing there. I cannot respond to their emails because it's from an unmonitored mailbox. I cannot call Dropbox because I have the free edition, and their free customers aren't treated with the same care as their paying customers. How can I resolve this if I cannot speak to a live person about it? I'm tempted to reach out to our state's attorney general to file a complaint. This is just bad, bad business.13Views0likes1CommentI referred a friend, but I still haven't received the extra space.
I sent a link from my basic account to a friend. They used the link and on my account it said waiting for install even though they had downloaded dropbox.. Now when I put their email in the referral box it says they are already a user and is not giving me the extra storage. How can I address this?Solved25Views0likes1CommentI haven't uploaded any files, but Dropbox says my account is full.

So, I've put ALL my files on online-only because my Mac was running out of space. In my Mac settings, Dropbox takes up 108 GB currently. Once I actually look at what folders are taking up space it's less than 2 GB (you can see in the screenshot what I mean). What is taking up all this space?Solved13KViews3likes51CommentsI can't access my photos, as I'm being asked to upgrade my Dropbox account.
I REALLY need help, please. A very long time ago my wife and I wanted to put our photos, many of them precious, in a safe place. She suggested putting them om a USB but I said we should put them on something called "Dropbox" It was free and safe. What a fool I was. Over time it said my account was "getting " full so I deleted as many things as I could and things were fine. Then without using my account much at all I went to it and it says it's full and I have to pay a large sum of money, which I don't have, in order to get into my account. It seems like kidnapping. If I were to pay the money I don't even know if I could get my photos back without deleting them all. The only thing I can think of is, paying the ransom, downloading the photos to my hard drive, moving them to a USB (my PC is old and I can't fit in a USB and a wireless USB in at the same time) and terminating my account. Even then I'm afraid I will lose everything because it says that by terminating your account all of your data will be deleted. I really don"t know what to do. Wow, do I feel like u sucker.560Views0likes12CommentsMy Dropbox folder is taking up a lot of space on my computer
Hello: Shortly after I got a new computer, I keep getting messages that my hard drive is full. so when I check the storage it is my Dropbox folder using all the space: and when I go to the website, I have 2T space available: So, my 2 questions are: I obviously do NOT need 2T space, so can I change my subscription to give me less space? How can I remove the Dropbox folder off my hard drive and only use the website? I changed the setting to "available online only" but I do not really know exactly what that means. I did not seem to change the space - maybe I have to restart the computer? Thanks, smblock234Views0likes1CommentGetting a "you're out of space" email notification
I keep getting emails and notifications claiming that I've reached my 2gb storage limit. Upon checking the contents of my dropbox account, the files total up to just over 3mb. So, Dropbox, what the hell kind of scam are you running here?817Views0likes5Comments
