Very Dissatisfied At Hearing About The Vault Being Discontinued.
The Vault is an extremely handy extra security feature, adding another layer of security. I’m very dismayed to hear that Dropbox, has astonishingly, come to the decision to drop this feature! It makes zero sense.
I hope that the company will reevaluate this shocking decision and keep the Vault in play.
To concentrate our efforts on further improving our existing security features and building new capabilities around advanced data protection, we’ve made the decision to discontinue Dropbox Vault.
From March 4th Dropbox Vault will no longer be available. If you’re currently using your Vault, that folder will automatically turn into a standard Dropbox folder, that doesn’t require a PIN to access. The files in your folder will remain the same.
thank you for your reply. The situation is clear, but the decision by the company is an awful one. The Vault is a great feature, much used for its extra layer of security. It makes no sense to drop it. Users clearly like and use the feature. Also, it’s astonishing that Photobox has access to the contents of our secure folder, to move it. I hope the company re-evaluates this incorrect decision.
SUPER BAD DECISION. After years paying for Dropbox now it's the first time that I'm looking to migrate to other providers. You're going to loose lots of customers because of that.
I agree that this is very bad. Vault was a very convenient place to separate private and public data. It was also very convenient to use search separately in regular files and separately in Vault. After such "news" I started to think about changing the cloud provider.

thank you for your reply. The situation is clear, but the decision by the company is an awful one. The Vault is a great feature, much used for its extra layer of security. It makes no sense to drop it. Users clearly like and use the feature. Also, it’s astonishing that Photobox has access to the contents of our secure folder, to move it. I hope the company re-evaluates this incorrect decision.

How is taking the vault away improving existing security features, this makes no sense listen to your customers we need this feature!!!!

I agree that this is very bad. Vault was a very convenient place to separate private and public data. It was also very convenient to use search separately in regular files and separately in Vault. After such \"news\" I started to think about changing the cloud provider.
