Dropbox Sign previously allowed users to add an access code when sending documents directly through the website. This feature has recently been removed. I have been told by the support team that it is possible to include an access code by sending documents through HelloSign, but unfortunately this adds extra steps requiring users to reupload signed documents back to Dropbox.
Restoring this feature would significantly improve workflow efficiency by ensuring that signed documents are automatically saved to Dropbox without additional steps.
Hi there financialplannersfirmla - thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this with us.
For starters, note that HelloSign is now Dropbox Sign and you can read more about it here.
When it comes to sending your documents for signatures, can you confirm that you're using these steps?
Last but not least, can you also confirm that you'd like to achieve what's outlined here?
Thanks so much!
Yes, I have been notified about HelloSign being Dropbox Sign now.
Like I mentioned before, the feature to add an access code was recently removed. Is there a different way I can add an access code when sending documents for signatures?
Hi from me too, financialplannersfirmla! Can you please confirm if this is the exact feature you’re referring to?
This way we’ll be able to further assist.
Yes, the feature which allows for the signer to enter an access code. This feature has to be done through HelloSign. Before we were able to add an access code through Dropbox Sign.
My suggestion is to bring this feature back. Adding the access code through HelloSign makes the process longer and it doesn't automatically save on Dropbox.
Also, I was just told HelloSign doesn't work anymore, so which one is it?
Hi financialplannersfirmla, we appreciate the feedback on this matter.
As Dropbox Sign is separate to the Signatures feature on the Dropbox site, this would be the difference you're seeing. It would only be possible to use the access code on the Dropbox Sign page.
We take all comments into consideration when improving the Dropbox site and services.
Like I mentioned before I was able to send signature request with an access code through Dropbox.
It was just recently removed and wanted to share the feedback if the feature can be brought back.
Thanks for the info, your feedback regarding the access code for sending signature requests has been very valuable and we will endeavor to make sure that your voice is heard.
