Someone has sent me a request to access one of my Dropbox files. Is this email legit?

I received the following emal from no-reply@dropbox.com and would like to know if it is ligit? How did this person actually know about this particular pdf?

I thought all files in the Dropbox folder were private.

    Thanks for posting here, @Boxx1956.

Based on your post, this is indeed one of our official Dropbox domains

Did you share this file with any other user perhaps?

Is it possible they’re trying to join your file with a different Dropbox account?

If not, feel free to send me a screenshot of the email you received (while hiding any personal details).

    Keep me in the loop.

      Hi Nancy,

I received two email requests an hour apart to share a Dropbox file from the same email [Removed as per Community Guidelines]

Not sure if you can see these screenshots

Hi @Boxx1956, those look to be legitimate emails from Dropbox.

Do you have a shared link to this PDF? It's possible that they have the link and have requested access to the file.
