Why is my location not accurate?
I found out, that there is a mistake in my profile. My browser is not located in Klosterneuburg but in Vienna.
I tried a lot to change it, but it didn´t work. Finally I wrote an email to 'privacy@dropbox.com' - no answer.
How can that mistake be changed ?

If it was (probably) me trying to log-in, why can´t they identify me ?
How would they know it's you? If you have to sign in, Dropbox already doesn't recognize you or the device. When you're signing in on the website, if you don't select the Remember Me option, Dropbox will always send an email that someone has signed in (or attempted to sign in) to your account, even when it's you.

I´ve got a Dropbox-Email, where I was informed, that someone has tried to log-in in my account (location Klosterneuburg, Lower Austria). That could have been me, because I had tried to log-in before, but there was a problem with the code I was given. But my location (and that of my PC) is Vienna and I never had used any other device before.
So I would like to know, what information is stored concerning the location of my PC.
I do not find any possibility to get that out in my profile.

Hi B ob8er, the information that you're referring to is the IP of your machine when connected to the Internet. On the site, the country IP geolocation isn't always accurate as some IP addresses might be associated with the wrong country.
If the country isn't correct, you can check it using any online IP address lookup tool. You can find an IP address lookup tool by doing a simple web search. Different websites might give you different answers, so I recommend trying a few to get a varied perspective on this.
