How to use two separate dropbox accounts with separate logins?

Hello,

https://www.dropbox.com/help/4238 …describes the job + private dropboxes option. What’s still not clear: can I use two different e-mails and passwords, …one for each account?

Separating accounts via different e-mail-and-password-combinations would be an efficient manner to keep data-structure clear between private vs. job data – or even between different organizations or projects you run, if they have to be kept apart from each other.

Thanks

G

Install each Dropbox account on two separate user accounts on your computer - note that both cant be used at the same time though. You need to log in and out of each user account to get them to sync.

    Hello and thanks Mark,

If you have any possibility to forward this up, please let them it’s not cool yet.

Changing user in order to switch from private to business and back – is not really user friendly, as the rest of the apps are either on the private or on the business side of the computer, never on both. So, we’ll always miss the one we need right now.

I wish a dropbox with a switch between private@myprovider.com and business@myprovider.com recognition, both installed on one single user and accessible at the same time. That would be cool.

I guess I’m not the only one, on user side, who would set things up this way.

Did I miss your point and it’s already accessible this way?

    Cheers :)

If one of those accounts is a Dropbox for Business account, then yes, it's already possible. You can have a DfB account and a personal account (Basic or Pro) installed at the same time (each with a different email address).

You can't, however, do this with two Basic or Pro accounts (or a combination of both). One of the accounts has to be a Dropbox for Business account.
