Can we have the Command Line Interface for Windows/Mac?

Even though, there is a command line interface on linux (which has start, stop and, soon, pause options), there seems to be no equivalent feature on windows nor on mac. This feature should be easily transferable. I see no technical reasons why this cannot be possible (especially to mac), is there any?

A command line to manage some functions like start, stop, pause, unpause, query Dropbox on Mac really will be useful.

It would be incredibly useful to have the command line tools in linux on mac or pc. I'm locked into using Mac and we have a production that does a lot of advance operations on images and files that would be super useful to check to see that we haven't accidentally overwritten or deleted files programmatically. There is so much potential its ridiculous.

I know this has been a thing people have been asking for since 2012. Is there any technical reason for it other than not enough demand for it not being made?
