Make the folders in shared links appear in grid view by default.

It would be more viewer-friendly if the folders and their files were displayed more like actual folders and files, i.e. the Grid View.  The same information is displayed but the list view is like File Manager and looks more technical which is OK if the only people who are going to access it are fellow workers, but I'm sending clients and customers to my folder and I would like the option to have it look better.  I would even consider moving from Free to Basic to improve my customer's experience.

Can I select that view permanently for all visitors so it is the view they automatically see upon arrival at the site?  They are not going to change their view since they won't know they can.

When viewing a shared link, there is an option on the side to switch from list view to grid view. Would that satisfy your requirements?

I am referring to when I send clients and customers a link to my folder.  I would like it to look more intuitive when they arrive.   I think, on arrival, it would look better if they found a folder icon, such as the blue folder icon that you currently use in some situations, with the name of the folder underneath.  Then under that folder icon, there could be icons, left to right, which resembled pieces of paper to indicate files within the folder, each with their name underneath.   I've seen icons that resemble pieces of paper with one corner folded over, used on other sites.  Again, this is intended for the general public, but aside from taking up additional screen space, would work fine for more technical users.  Hence, it should probably be a "display option" for the owner.

Hi @KenK3, thanks for messaging the Community.

The Free and Basic plans are the same, and there isn't any difference in how content is displayed depending on your plan.

Are you referring to how files appear in your own Dropbox account, or in shared links that you send to other people?

This will help me to assist further!
