You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.
Will Dropbox Paper for web consider support offline mode for Dropbox Web just like google docs in the future?

Totally appreciate the "not right now" mark and your update, Emma! Thought I'd add some more context anyway in the hopes that this eventually makes its way into a PM's brain.
I love writing using Paper. Whether it's taking notes, or writing a ranting blog-post-esque piece, or writing a product problem exploration, it's the best, cleanest place for me to do it and feel at peace. It's hands-down my number one choice for online editing tools, which is why it's such a shame I probably have to stop using it.
I'm a product consultant, and spend a lot of time working from places that are not workplaces. Sometimes I have an epiphany on a long flight from the east coast, or sometimes I'm working (or trying to) from Viva La Tarte, which strangely does not have wifi. Sometimes I just want to work from the park like the spoiled SF person I am. The problem? I don't have wifi in those places.
Think about writing from a coffee shop that does not have wifi. What's the app you want to use to remain in the peaceful zen state you're lulling yourself into? Paper. Of course. You're looking for distraction-free words-flowing simple yet powerful Paper. Instead, you're using Google Docs in offline mode and every time you look at its chrome you want to throw up a little in your mouth.
Look, I get it - this doesn't match up with your top-level goals. But wow would I be your biggest promoter cheerleader if you figured out an elegant solution for this. I've already got my dropbox files synced to my laptop... I'd love to get my papers as well.
(Note: even if you don't make an offline app per se, it would be awesome to be able to just sync the file and edit with a text editor when offline. The main thing is, I want to use Paper when I'm connected to WiFi, and I'd like to be able to read/edit those things when I'm not connected.)
