Saving Paper docs to existing Dropbox folder structure/file-system.
Hi
A number of us have started using dropbox paper at work. We want to save documents that we create in paper to an existing Team folder but I can't see how to do this. Any ideas anyone?

So....how do we get it again? Seems I'm on the old version. It's middle of Q2 now...

From the Drobox Help website:
Are my Paper docs stored in my Dropbox folders? It depends if you’re using the old or new release of Dropbox Paper.
If you’re on the old release of Dropbox Paper, your Paper docs are stored in Paper folders in your account on paper.dropbox.com. If you’re on the new 2020 release of Dropbox Paper, your Paper docs are stored in your account on dropbox.com, with your other files and folders.
To find out if you’re using the old or new release of Dropbox Paper:
- Sign in to dropbox.com.
- Click Create new file.
- If you see Dropbox Paper in the dropdown menu, then you’re using the new 2020 release of Dropbox Paper.
- If you don’t see Dropbox Paper in the dropdown menu, then you’re using the old release.

That's my understanding at least.

I agree with you truNorth that the importance of this feature for those of us who rely on Dropbox to collaborate with clients cannot be understated. And how long it has been "in developement" is more than alittle disheartening.
Especially since new dropbox users have it already! - TruNorthHelpful | Level 5
Wow...I didn't realize this post is so old until I posted my initial post. Closing in on 4 years and crickets. I bet Paper inside Dropbox's existing folder structure would replace Google Docs inside Dropbox for many people.

I have been wanting this feature for a long time. I am a small business owner / independent sales rep. I work on many large projects that typically have many changes and revisions. I keep all of my proposals, specs, customer orders, and all other supporting documents in Dropbox. I need to keep notes for all of the changes that are made for each revision. I would like to use Paper for this purpose and to share information with customers. I have tried Paper but not having it live in the same folders as my Dropbox files make it hard to keep everything organized.
I have tried Evernote and sharing the public note link with my customer, I have tried Google Docs inside Dropbox (not too happy with that when sharing publically), I have tried Word, and I have even tried text files. I want everything in my existing Dropbox folder and I want to be able to create a Paper document right inside my Dropbox account as I can for Word and Google Docs.

Please include me in that upgrade request. There should be some value in loyalty. It shouldn't be a detriment.

Hi, I'm wondering if I can request an upgrade/invite to Dropbox 2020.
I'm creating a ton of Paper documents for my clients. I would create only one, and share it with them, but since they're from different companies and I don't want them to see each other....I have to create copies. As such, I really need the ability to organize these Paper documents into their Dropbox folders. This is an urgent need, and I don't want to look elsewhere for another software solution, knowing that this is coming down the pike at some unspecified time. Is there any way to get this capability now? It's already May....it's going to be Dropbox 2021 if we wait any longer. ;)
I've been with Dropbox for some time now, for everything business and personal, and I'd like to stay with you guys.
Thanks!

Today we have Dropbox folders and paper folders.
It would improve my workflow a lot if we consolidated or at the very least brought these hirarchies close to each other at the presentation layer.
Moreover, getting to folders in paper is very difficult and as a result even if I create a folder structure I forget where things are as it's not always in front of me.
Maybe both could be addressed with the help of the new dropbox app
