I'm New to using cloud based storage. I'm using Dropbox and onedrive right now and and have been organizing all my documents and pics intl file folders or albums, whichever you prefer to call them. So today dropbox has informed me I'm out of storage. So what I'm trying to figure out is how do I download a folder back to my hard drive? I can do it file by file but that defeats the purpose of all the work I've put into organizing everything. Am I missing something or was what I did a waste of time? It doesn't even ask me what folder I want to drop it into when I download a file. I'm using a Samsung galaxy s21 5gSolved2.5KViews0likes6CommentsMake folder available to other apps on Android?
I'd like to use Dropbox to sync Obsidian markdown files on my Android phone and tablet (since the official Obsidian sync corrupts my files). How can I do that? I tried doing "Make available offline" but that didn't make the folder available to other apps, only within the Dropbox app. I tried DropSync but that only syncs once every hour, which is not often enough for using Obsidian. Thanks!299Views0likes2CommentsI get a "permanent failure" error when trying to access a database on my mobile device.
Hope someone can assist... I need to open a file to access the newest database but when I attempt to, I get a permanent failure. I have cleared the cache, cleared memory, uninstalled the app from my mobile device, (Pixel), reinstalled and I still receive the error message. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.3.8KViews0likes15CommentsWhy are files made available offline on Android sometimes not available?
I use Dropbox to store all my music files(MS word). I use my Windows 10 PC to create all of the files. All of the files upload fine into Dropbox. I make the folder contents available off line on 2 Android tablets. In previous Dropbox versions I could see if all the files were updated with the file unticked till synced then the green tick when synced. I am never sure now if the full sync is complete (I have around 800 song files). The "green tick" seems to be there BUT I have found that some files, not many, are not available when I get to an event , one tablet may have the file but not the other (I turn wifi off when I leave home as I don't want random pop ups etc). Am I missing something or can anybody point me to a solution. A quick way of confirming sync would be fine. Thanks. Hello. When I minimize the app while playing music on android it stops playing. I've tried to add a new player and open my files in external apps but nothing works. My whole music team uses dropbox and it's very incovenient for us, and I saw a lot of people talking about it on the internet. Do you think it would be possible to fix this problem? I created a bunch of notes in Paper about two years ago. When I try to open them now in Android, most of them won't open. I notice the Paper app itself hasn't been updated in 2 years. Has it just been mothballed? Is there any hope that Dropbox will implement native Markdown support? Or should I just convert my notes to plaintext? Hi, I would love to be able to swipe through full-screen photos in the Dropbox folders on my Android phone. At the moment, I have to click to open the photo to full-screen, click to reduce it again, choose another photo, and click to open that. It’s downright embarrassing when I’m showing photos to my friends on my phone that I have the functionality and speed of a 15-year-old phone just because I’m using Dropbox. I would love to be able to show the photo full-screen and then swipe through my Dropbox photos the way I can with photos in my Gallery. I see other users have the same problem. https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/View-download-and-export/mobile-app-photo-viewing/td-p/682754 I’ve tried to solve the issue by setting Dropbox to open photos through a gallery app, but this makes the problem even worse. Using one of these apps (which works perfectly for non-Dropbox photos) is a navigation nightmare when opening Dropbox photos. Again, I see that other users have been struggling with this. https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/View-download-and-export/Can-t-scroll-from-one-photo-to-another-on-the-mobile-app/td-p/746195 Please tell me if you already have a way for me to swipe through photos in my Dropbox folders. If not, please fix it. Thank you1.7KViews1like11CommentsThe "Tab Position Changed" pop-up doesn't disappear in the mobile app on Android
I'm using an Android app. From a certain time, every time I launched the app, a pop-up saying "Tab position changed" appeared. There is one more action on the screen, which is very annoying. How do I stop pop-ups from appearing again?Solved362Views0likes2Comments
