I work on a Mac Studio (chip M2) with mac os x sonoma 14.4. All my documents are synchronized in dropbox and I use the desktop version of dropbox I have a problem for a few days now that prevents me from attaching documents to emails with Apple Mail When I attach a document, apple mail indicates "download", but the attachment is never in the message. Although the email starts, the person receiving it is unable to read the document because it appears corrupted and weighs 0 kb. If I use Outlook, the problem does not exist. If i use another computer with Apple Mail and Mac OS X Sonoma, the problem does not exist. If I forward an email with a received attachment, the problem does not exist. If I save a received attachement and then I send a new message with this attachement saved earlier on my Mac, the problem does not exist. When I get an e-mail with attachments and I want to save the attachments, I choose the synchronized folder and it seems to save the files. Then when the folder opens, it is empty. Thanks for any help4.9KViews1like22CommentsCan't add dropbox files from my iPad anymore
I have been using Dropbox for years and one of the feature I really like is the ability to import files directly from the Dropbox folder (on my iPad). For example, if a website is asking me for a copy of my passport, I would simply click on the upload, select the dropbox icon, and then choose the file I want to upload. But for the past couple of days this is not working anymore. It works fine on the laptop, but on the ipad I am getting this error (see screenshot below). I don't even know how to report this bug. Can anyone help? Is anyone facing the same issue?Solved1.5KViews1like3CommentsCan't install from Download folder when DB backup is enabled!
After a fresh install of my MacBook Air, running latest macOS and Dropbox app I noticed I wasn't able to install apps with a .pkg installer. No matter what I tried, I always ended up with an error... After hours of searching the web, I ended up on this post:https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254600885?login=true&page=1 The offered solution of moving the PKG to the Desktop folder didn't work for me, but then I realised that my Desktop folder is also marked to be backed up by Dropbox... after I moved the .pkg installer to a place outside of the reach of Dropbox back up it let me finally install it... I didn't liked the idea of moving my backup folders to a secret place and replacing them with shortcuts, and it disabled to ability to receive AirDrop files, but now it also doesn't allow using .pkg installers from the download folder, I really don't like it! Can you fix both AirDrop and the ability to install .pkg directly from the download folder again? Thanks!1.1KViews1like4Comments
