Camera uploads

I wanted to use my dropbox account to be able to backup my files and remove them after a period of time from my phone, so files say older than a couple of months are only available online. And just keep the most recent ones in my android phone. It would be nice also to do this for different folders.33Views0likes3CommentsAfter reinstalling Dropbox on iPhone iOS version 18.x, uploads are very slow
Dropbox was taking up 90GB on my iPhone, so I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. That cleared the problem. But now it’s taking days to upload videos, where previously they were fast uploads. Internet speed is fast at home. Suggestions?17Views0likes1CommentAutomatic camera upload not working after uploading 7 files.
Hi all 🙂 I’ve been having issues with dropbox on my iphone 12, if I open the app it starts looking for photo’s and then starts to upload, but after about 7 photos it stops uploading. Besides “camera uploads” it says “view folder” and in front of that, a triangle with exclamation mark appears in blue. But nothing else happens and I can’t view what the issue is if I click on that.. Yesterday I got to upload a few photo’s, then had to fully close the app and reopen and it uploaded a few again and stopped. Today a few uploaded again. After that, nothing helped so far: • turning phone off and on • closing app and reopening • turning automatic upload off and on • checked storage on Dropbox (only 13.5%) in use) Does anyone know the fix to this please? Thanks in advance!442Views0likes2CommentsDoes automatic photo upload in iOS work if I kill the app in the background?
Trying to get reliable information and not able to get anywhere because I have a habit of killing akk apps from background. I have installed the app and took a couple of photos to check whether this works. Given how iOS behaves, not sure whether this would work or not. Are we expected to keep the app running in background for this feature to work as expected?Solved37Views0likes4CommentsWe see a "failed fetching latest photos" error in the camera uploads folder of our Android device.
We've just started getting a "failed fetching latest photos" on our Android Samsung Folds. What's somewhat strange is that the photos do appear in the web and also in our Mac app "Camera Uploads" folder. We'd always assumed that photos had to be captured first on our phones and then transferred ... but apparently the Android app is independent of actual camera uploads. Hopefully someone can help or reassure us that we're not the only ones with this minor but somewhat aggravating problem. We want to be able to see all our photos on our phones in Dropbox, too.Solved59Views0likes5CommentsiPhone disconnects and Camera Uploads won't sync my photos on the desktop app
I have an issue with the automatic upload of my photos from my phone. I used to plug my phone into my computer and it would automatically upload my pictures from my phone into my computer (connected by usb cable) but it hasn't been working for months and I can't find a solution.. The issue is that Dropbox sees that there is photos and videos to sync but it barely starts before it goes "The device was disconnected, 0 photos and videos have been uploaded". The app on my Win11 laptop says " Your files are up to date". Of course I haven't touched my phone, I even keep the screen unlocked. It would not even think there are new photos until I changed the Autoplay setting to "Ask me every time" where it will actually notice that there are new photos to upload. Any ideas? thx56Views0likes14CommentsI've set my iOS camera uploads to add only new photos, but it's trying to re-upload everything.
I went from a iPhone 11 to a iPhone 16 Pro a few months ago. I backed up photos to Dropbox before I moved everything to the new phone. Had issues with the new phone and Apple had me do a full factory reset, and then I was only able to download certain (minimal) apps from my cloud, to prevent the new phone from picking up anything old that might have caused the issues. This shouldn't affect my Dropbox app, since that is a separate cloud. But now when I back up photos, it is scanning my ENTIRE library of photos, which is many years worth, it seems, and it seems to want to download all of these photos, most of which are already in my Dropbox. I went to settings to see if selecting "Back up/New photos only" would solve this issue, but it only identifies new photos as of today, not the past couple of months since I got this phone. But then I looked at what's in my Camera Uploads folder, and there are photos from as recent as early December, but not current. With my old phone, Dropbox would only grab the new photos since last upload. So what am I doing wrong here?114Views0likes28CommentsCan we have monthly folders for Camera uploads?
My proposal would help to sort the incoming photos in a proper way. I asked for an automatic creation of a folder like "2025_01" at the beginning of each month. The provider 1&1 Germany does it in this way. The photos should be filed into the monthly folders. Hence a better overview would be given.27Views0likes1CommentCan we upload live photos through Camera Uploads?
I can see lots of posts asking for support for Live Photos. I feel quite cheated that I have lost the ability to see these photos. As someone else has also posted, I have little snippets of my mother’s voice and movement that I have lost forever and she has passed away. Dropbox offer a photo sync service which means they need to solve for Live Photos, they have been around since 2015 so it’s not a new function. Please prioritise a solution to upload and then restore Live Photos.701Views2likes5CommentsHow can I upload my iCloud photos to Dropbox and keep the original dates?
I made a new photo library by pressing option while opening the photos-app on my MacBook. I then made a new library and made it my system library, synced it to iCloud and ownloaded all originales. I choose the location the be in my Dropbox and got a file called photolibrary.photoslibrary. When I open the file from my fines, my photos app is opens and the photos is shown like normal in the photos app. However when I try opening the file from my phone, it says it can not load the file. What should I do? I need more space on my phone and iCloud, because it is full37Views0likes6Comments
