My account was deleted due to inactivity on January 15th, 2025. I received the warning emails but was concerned they were scam emails that were going around related to dropbox. Anyone have success restoring documents/accounts? I understand that after 12 mo activity they are auto deleted, but wondered if anyone has had success regardless. Hello, I recently granted action to an external person to our business account. By accident, I wanted to kick her out of the general permission, to grant her access only to one folder. When I did that, her whole personal Dropbox account got deleted. Luckily, I could restore it, but now she is a permanent member of our company dropbox. No clue what happened, so going to lay everything out here. Have a personal professional DB account, and upgraded to business as a trial, a business with 1 user. This creates two folders, your old personal file and the team folder. I didn't like how personal files are so close to business, i basically have my entire life in DB so wanted more separation and would recreate a business team account with my work email. Go into the business trial and cancel the trial. Which prompts you what would you like to do with the team files. There were no team files, I just created the account 5 min ago. There was only my personal files in a separate folder. So i hit delete permanently. My entire account is gone. It appears it permanently deleted everything and my account now says suspended if I try and login with my original email. I have a support ticket in, but currently freaking out as my entire life is in that Dropbox. I'm very tech savy and felt like that entire process was a disaster. If i have a personal account, and create a team, common sense would be the business and personal are separate files and not together. So once you close the team, you just go back to your personal account. Hello. I run a business, and a client mistakenly added me to a teams account, which i then accepted. Then, with them realizing their mistake of adding me, deleted my account. As such, I have lost my entire account and all files. In talking to this client, they said they could see my account in their deleted accounts history, but did not have an ability to restore it. Is it because I remade this account with the same email? Do I need to delete this account and allow them to restore it? It has been less than 7 days, and I don't believe the account was permanently deleted.
