Dropbox Basic

Hi, I experienced the oddest situation. Thursday 11.7.24 I opened and worked on 3 excel files which I work on EVERY month. Saved them all of course when finished. Today 2 days later 11.9.24 I go to pull one up and whaaaat? All 3 files have May 2014 dates and data that only goes through April. These files have been saved every month. I know they have as I pulled them up 2 days ago and just added data. Files had data through Sept-24. I checked version history, no help. I checked activity, that does not even show them as being opened. Another file I opened for the financial statements in a different directory did save properly. This has really spooked me and I've lost all faith in DB. Help please! thank you, RussSolved88Views0likes3CommentsMy account is deleted & I need to recover my content.
Dear Dropbox Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request assistance regarding my Dropbox account associated with the email address [removed]. Unfortunately, I discovered that my account has been deleted, resulting in the loss of a significant number of photos that were stored there. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me recover my account and restore my files. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response. I have had a basic version dropbox.com account since 2017, during which time I have created many documents. After about a year of not using this account, I logged into it and noticed that drobox had introduced many changes to its appearance and functionalities. Unfortunately, apart from these changes, I also noticed that my account was empty, I did not have my files that I had created since 2017. I tried to search for them in many ways: through the search engine, in the history, in the deleted files section, in the backup, but I could not find them. By accident, I only found one document that I had created many years ago. What is very strange, when searching the account, both this found file and others (apart from Getting Started with Dropbox.pdf), my account is completely empty. Similarly, when I type it into the search engine, I find nothing. I decided that the new version of dropbox was clearly in beta, it was not fully developed, and I would wait some time. Unfortunately, many months have passed since then and my files are still unavailable. How can I recover very important documents that took me many months of work to create since 2017?246Views0likes1CommentMy files have gone missing unexpectedly
After 13 years of using dropbox, I've discovered that some of the important files in one folder just gone missing. The folder seems to be empty, despite that I know for sure there are gigabytes of data there. I did not manually delete anything, nothing can be found in the folder history, no deletion history anywhere. In fact, I have not deleted anything from my dropbox in the last 5 years. The files were there about a few months ago, now the entire folder just disappeared. Because I'm a Basic/free user, I can't even get to the support team. This is ridiculous. How could Dropbox just corrupt the data of a user? How could Dropbox just delete files without user consent? Anyone could help me out here?757Views0likes11CommentsI'm on Basic and my files were deleted within the last 2 months - can I recover them?
I recently discovered a large number of files were deleted from my Dropbox account. I have Dropbox basic. I don't know exactly when the files were deleted - probably within the last two months. Is there any way to recover them?189Views0likes2CommentsHow to free up space from my hard drive?
The Harddrive on my Acer desktop is almost full so to free up space I am uploading redundant music files to One Drive. Then I am deleting them from the Hard drive but notice that this action is not credited, i.e. I have not yet freed up the space I need. How do I make that happen? Am I supposed to empty the trash, or is there a special place in dropbox I do that? Thanks. Oh yeah, I'm on I think Dropbox Family357Views0likes6Comments
