Dropbox Basic
66 TopicsDowngrading from Dropbox Business to Dropbox Basic doesn't allow me to use Dropbox anymore
Hello, I write here about my problem with the hope somebody can help me. I always used Dropbox Basic with 2GB storage. With the same Dropbox profile I upgraded to Dropbox Business for me and my team in the office 4 years ago (6 persons in total). This month I stopped Dropbox Business since we started to use a physical storage in the office – before downgrading I deleted all the files from my Dropbox Business. Now I thought I could keep using my Dropbox Basic with 2GB storage but all the files I deleted are still in the bin and I can’t permanently deleted them. Somehow it’s written that I am still using 53GB of space but I can’t get rid of these files because I have no authorization anymore. I guess these files will remain in the bin for few months and probably they block my Dropbox Basic storage. Should I open a new Dropbox Basic account with another mail? Or is there a possibility to solve my issue? With Dropbox Basic I can’t even get in contact with the support and somehow I’m stucked... I am very grateful for any help - thank you!Solved28Views0likes5CommentsI don't have access to my email to receive the 6 digit code. Can I receive it in another way?

I recently checked my business bank account, and was surprised to find 3 identical charges for $19.99 from dropbox, all on the same day, with different transaction IDs. I've used the lookup tool to try and identify these transactions, but apparently the transaction IDs aren't even recognized by dropbox, as they're too short. I've tried to find a phone number to call for dropbox to help me understand these apparently fraudulent charges, but since I don't pay for a dropbox account, I'm not allowed that information, so I'm posting here for assistance. Can someone please contact me to assist in resolving this issue? I've already contacted my bank and disputed the transactions and cancelled my card, I just want to be sure I'm reimbursed for these charges, and want Dropbox to be aware of this issue out there, as I suspect I'm not the only person dealing with this.132Views0likes1CommentNot receiving verification email

I am using Dropbox personal account until recently i was added to a working group plan(5TB). The working Group plan has working stuff that everybody shared and accessed. But i am so concern about having my own personal space being shared with others. I've look through the FAQ said that my files can't be access by other team member but ADMIN can view/edit/access all my working files. Can i isolate my own personal working files ONLY with myself? If yes, how do i do it? Image:removed156Views0likes1CommentA Photographers question on Ai Image Analysis & Ai Data Collection,- Concent, Rights & Implicaions
As a photographer is use Dropbox to transmit, store and handle my files. lately when running a search for the word "FIRE", the search function returned multiple pictures from my archive with flames in them. Question 1: has my Photography Archive been subject to Ai image analysis? (which it obviously has been...) - what kind? - by what tools? and most importantly, where did i concent to any of it? (yes i read the 'Legal' page thoroughly) disclaimer: as an event photographer i am involved in all kinds of Private, Open & Deeply personal moments from peoples lives, i have an Etheic Moral and Legal duty to protect my clients, partners, models, childrens & friends privacy, dignity and basic right not to have their likeness and very life be used to feed some data set somewhere withiout their knowlege and concent. i use Generative Ai tools as part of my personal and professional creative research, i see the potential, but am also aware of the possible implications. Question 2: has my Phototography Archive (my body of work) been compromised, sold, copied or in any other way transfered to any third party without my concent? i think you get where im going with this.... am i doomed to have my stuff be fed to the Ai data machine by simply having it on the internet? i am only asking because i am already extremely doubtfull of my future as an Artist and Creative Professional. i love Dropbox a lot and use it all the time and recommend it to everyone, i really hope i don't soon grow to regret it... would love to hear your thoughts. ~T187.Solved2.7KViews1like4CommentsList of Previous Devices Connected to Dropbox
Hi Dropbox Community, I am a basic user and understand that with a BASIC account you can up to 3 devices connected to your Dropbox account. I recently updated my list of three devices and in the process deleted the access to older outdate/retired machines (previous computers). I am in search of those device names, as 1 or 2 of them were company devices. Does anyone know how to retrace the steps and discover the "previous" list of devices that were connected to an account? The BASIC level license does not come with live chat, so trying to figure out how to connect with Dropbox team to dig into my account history. Thanks!295Views0likes4CommentsHow do I cancel an account I can't even find or have any login details for?
I'm getting emails telling me to upgrade my storage, but I can't find an account on Google or anywhere on my device. How can I cancel the supposed account when the Dropbox website doesn't give any information about cancelling and they seem to be threatened by the thought of anyone actually speaking to them on the phone... I think they enjoy having 'locked in customers'. Can anyone help me please!!382Views0likes4Comments
