Hi, I recently purchased a MacBook Pro 13" with the M1 processor and I cannot seem to get a native install of Dropbox for this chipset. From searching the community, it seems like M1 support should be available in the latest installer. However, trying that plus the latest beta build all ask me to install Rosetta during installation. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, WarrenSolved101KViews64likes184CommentsDropbox Not working after restart: Reconnecting to the internet. This may take a moment.
I have been experiencing a very frustrating issue with Dropbox the past few days. Issue: After restarting my Mac Studio (MacOS 13.6.5), Dropbox always gets stuck with the message: Reconnecting to the internet. This may take a moment. No VPN No Firewall Home Network Fully updated Dropbox The thing that is baffling is that : If you Quit and restart Dropbox it works immediately but if you restart the computer the issue appears again If you wait for a long time Dropbox eventually connects and syncs. But it takes a long time On the same computer, about a week ago, Dropbox was syncing instantly after reboot. I have tried already reinstalling and deleting the cache folder. Is this a known issue that's going on at the moment> Many thanksSolved25KViews11likes120CommentsMacOS Sonoma 14.1 constant high CPU by process DropboxFileProvider
I'm using the latest version of Dropbox (v186.4.2607) on my MacBook Pro (2,4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9) that is running macOS Sonoma 14.1. Lately I've noticed that Dropbox is having a high cpu (150 - 200%) almost all of the time. Dropbox is always syncing although nothing is synced because all is already synced. The menubar icon always shows the sync icon and never the ready icon anymore. This is very unpleasant and the MacBook Pro is now always very warm/hot with temperatures from 85 to 100 ºC and that is not how it should be. Is there a solution for this issue?13KViews4likes27CommentsLinux App for ARM Processors (Fedora)
I would love to be able to use Dropbox on my Fedora Linux computer, however, it is running on an ARM processor. Right now, Dropbox only supports x86_x64 processors. I know this is probably a very small population of users, but I cannot be the only one with this unique need.1.7KViews3likes4CommentsiOS app: "Convert all to classic integration"
I have noticed that Dropbox for iOS (v358.2) has a new action in the settings. Under `Native Files.app integration`, there is a button titled "Convert all to classic integration". But it is not documented anywhere. What does it do? How is the "modern" integration different from the "classic" one?3.8KViews3likes3CommentsDeprecated message using Dropbox from Fedora RPM repos

MacBook Pro M1 with the MacOS Ventura13.1 installed. I use the Dropbox Plus plan, and I predominantly access files through my Finder app. The Dropbox app notified me of the new update — I installed and waited for everything to sync and index. Now everytime I try to open a file from Finder (tried with .png, .pdf, .ai, .jpg and several other random filetypes), the system attempts to open the file with Dropbox, and nothing happens (the file doesn't open in the application it's supposed to open in by default). I have to go to the "Open With" right-click menu and select the proper application by hand everytime, which is a tad annoying. Screenshots of Dropbox appearing on top of the "Open With" menu below, both with an "online-only" and an "available offline" dowloaded file. 64-bit Win11 PC Company-provided laptop with firewalls (presumably) Internet connected My Dropbox desktop app will not connect with the internet, no matter what I do, even though it used to. I have installed the 64-bit version, currently showing as v187.4.5691. The Dropboxupdater, on the other hand, runs in the background as a 32-bit task, but that's a question for another day. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted numerous times, including using the Advanced Reinstall instructions. Whenever I start Dropbox, I get the message that I am not connected to the internet. I am, in fact, connected to the internet, because I can post this question. Yet when I click "Sign in" in the app, nothing happens. The taskbar icon stays grayed out, saying "Connecting..." and the app, when opened, says "Starting..." - but again, nothing ever happens. I have added every Dropbox executable to the Windows firewall. And I meanevery one - I did a full search of my PC. I'm at a loss as to why this isn't connecting, and now I just need to manually sync my files at this point. I'm not sure the best way to do that. I'm lookng for potential solutionsthat I haven't already tried for getting the sync to work, or for manually syncing my files. Thanks.995Views1like7Comments
