Dropbox Pro user here. I am camera-scanning a document with my phone and trying to upload it as a PDF to my Dropbox folder. The upload progresses really quickly all the way until 100% (no network issues here, using Wi-Fi), but it gets stuck "Sending..." at 100% and just never finishes the upload. I confirm that I can upload regular files (including PDFs) from my phone to Dropbox, and I can scan into JPG files and upload them. It's only the PDF scanning option that isn't working, as far as I can tell. I suspect that the cause is the OCR post-processing... Things I've tried (none of them worked): - Killing the app - Clearing the app cache - Using Data connection instead of Wi-Fi - Restarting the phone - Updating the App: it is already at its latest version Phone Model: Samsung A54 Android App Version: 352.2.2 Has anyone else had the same issue or is this specific to me? Would really appreciate some help to solve this.Solved13KViews0likes8CommentsHow to Share a DropBox Folder with Someone on IOS?
I have a DropBox Professional account, and want to share a folder so people can open it in on iPhone/iPad. They have installed the DropBox app on their devices. I have specified their addresses as shared links in the folder I want to share. I don't see any option inside the DropBox app to receive shared files. All the information I have seen is how to share from iOS to someone else. I need it to go the other way around, Can someone point me to instructions for this?Solved7.5KViews0likes17CommentsCan not password file or set expired linked for shared links.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? ALL of our file request links result in a blank screen when clicked. It is not a browser issue, as it's been tested across many browsers. I wasn't aware of it until a client advised me of the problem. Dropbox are looking into it, meanwhile this has been ongoing since Tuesday and still no fix. The copied link shows as [removed], then when entered, changes and inserts _edisonhttps://www.dropbox.com/request_edison/xyz Thanks in advanceSolved4.7KViews1like18Comments"Syncing has been disabled due to an error." on the Dropbox desktop app
The new update of DropBox has screwed my computer. It won't sync, and it's taking up all of my disc space so I can't run most of the programs on my computer. "Syncing has been disabled due to an error." WHICH ERROR? And how do I fix it?? I'm on DropBox Pro — so I'm paying for this nonsense.Solved4.3KViews0likes9CommentsCan't set password for shared folder
Hi, I can't seem to set a password for shared folder. The instructions say "Next toLink access, selectOnly people with the passwordfrom the dropdown menu." I don't see this option or it is greyed out. It says this is for "Dropbox Professional and Business customers". I am a "Dropbox Business Advanced" member, see below. Does that qualify?Solved4.2KViews0likes5CommentsWhy does a shared folder not share quota?
I just got off a chat with one of Dropbox's representatives. In short, I have a Dropbox professional plan and I created a separate folder for each of my students. Yesterday, one of my students got a message that her account is "full" despite me having two and a half terabytes of free space left. Well, guess what, space is calculated double - once on my account and once on hers. So, let me get this straight, if I share a big folder with a lot of files with, say, 20 people, Dropbox will require all 20 of them to pay for the same amount of space!? Anybody from Dropbox cares to justify this!?Solved2.7KViews3likes10CommentsDropbox Pro, sending large (50GB) files from external hard drive to Dropbox
I'm on Dropbox Pro. I have about 1TB worth of video files on an external hard drive which I need to send to a client. My plan was to ZIP them into 50GB chunks and upload directly via the web interface. No such luck -- the transfers always got stuck about 3/4 through with 15 minutes left to transfer. So I downloaded the desktop app, hoping this would make it more stable, which it does, as I've managed to upload one file with the Sync now. However, this requires me to copy the files from the external hard drive to the sync folder which is on my internal hard drive, which cannot accommodate an additional 1TB worth of files. Also, although I've set the preferences to "online only", the copied files remain on my internal hard drive, which doesn't sound right. Since I have slightly over 100GB of free space on the internal hard drive, I can fit two such 50GB files on the internal drive at time. So, three questions: 1A) Once the file has been synced to Dropbox online (green check mark), can I set it to "online only" to remove it from my local drive? 1B) Why doesn't that happen automatically although my preferences are set to "online only" for new files? 2) What is the best approachto this task of reliably uploading a bunch of 50GB files from an external hard drive directly to Dropbox, preferably without having to copy them to the internal hard drive first?Solved2.2KViews0likes3Comments
