Dropbox Rewind
69 TopicsHow do YOU access Dropbox?
Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website, the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?9.5KViews6likes11CommentsShared files got moved and became copies only I can open
I have a ticket in but I need help it's been over a day. Long story short when I updated my Mac yesterday it moved files from shared folders to a copy of it with the end saying "my name conflicted copy date". I'd like to know if I can rewind either the original or the copy so that the files go back to the correct place. I've already disconnected Dropbox from my desktop. I just need to put things back the way they were. Any help is appreciated.Solved4.1KViews3likes13CommentsRewind fails to work and requires support assistance
Hi ... Please see the screen shot below of Rewind failing to work correctly. This fault can be replicated using different PC's OS's and Browsers. It would seem that the root cause for us is an Account or Folders having a lot of historic high data activity after the restore date. (e.g A User wants to restore data from the 22nd July but rewind fails because there was a lot of Data transfer activity in their account on the 8th August). In our case we have a 1 Year rewind option but we can't go back further than three weeks because of historic file changes, pluswe do not have 24/7 support. How do we fix this ? (I can supply a capture video of Rewind failing)664Views1like5CommentsI'm missing files from my account, both online and from the app. How can I proceed?
Hi, all. I am a little desperate. Almost a month ago, my Dropbox instance hung during a large sync. After the incident, a number of important files were missing from both my Dropbox Desktop and online. It has been impossible to get functional support from the Dropbox team. I'm not sure whether my support requests are being answered by a bot, but every contact feels like starting over from zero. I can't use Dropbox (I don't want to make changes to it while something's broken), I don't have access to key files for my business, and the system throws a bug when I try to Rewind. Has anyone here had luck getting a response from real humans for a major Dropbox bust-up? There doesn't seem to be any way I can raise a red flag high enough to get someone's attention. 😞Solved986Views1like3CommentsUrgent help restoring my content.
Hello everyone, i am in dire need of help!!! My boss asked me to help with his mac( manage storage, reorganiwe etc) and i did a few movements that i know realise i shouldnt have. I was trying to save some space on his dropbox and i copy pasted all the docs from the mac file to the icloud file. To not have everything double i erased the files from the mac file dropbox. I then proceeded to reinstall dropbox and then we couldnt see anything else anymore. My question is : if i use dropbox rewind will i be able to undo this movement and have back everything the way they were classified? Obviously i need help or else i am putting his entire business into jeopardy since his entire clientele was on dropbox, he is a lawyer. Thank you immensely for your helpSolved852Views1like2CommentsDropbox rewind isn't working properly for Dropbox Plus and above users

we have 5 groups that share files. one of them completely dumped all its folders at the same time and this is the message in the ActivityUnshared file/folder by clearing membership. I can not find the files anywhere, they are not showing up in deleted files. When i Rewound to prior to this happening as suggested by Dropbox support nothing was restored. How do I undo what has been done to get my files back? I have all Dropbox Business accounts and this should not be able to happen. If Dropbox is cloud based the files should be somewhere.3.2KViews1like12Comments
