Hello there, I recently got banned for sharing links with malware, however I know for a fact that the files I'm trying to share do not have malware in them. They are accessibility enhancements for people with vision impairments attempting to utilise digital audio workstation software. I've been banned for high traffic before, but not once have I purposefully attempted to share malware. As a user of a free Dropbox account, I can't email Dropbox or open a ticket so how can I get some assistance with this? I'd greatly appreciate any help. Have a great day TIASolved1.1KViews0likes20CommentsCannot share any links
Hello, I have been a Dropbox user for several years now and I use Dropbox as the main way to share files for my business. Recently I uploaded some files and shared it to a friend and since then I was banned from link sharing and I did not receive any email detailing how to resolve the issue. The error I get whenever I try to share a link is the following: Can’t share file Error in call to API function /2/sharing/create_shared_link_with_settings: We’ve interrupted your sharing activity because you tried to share a file that may contain malware. Check your email for instructions on how to resolve this. I've contacted customer support by chat and email, however, they have been extremely slow and unable to resolve the issue in a timely manner. I have also permanently deleted any files that could be causing the issue as well. Im sure this is a false positive but I am still banned from sharing. This error is negatively impacting my business and I will delete my Dropbox account and switch to a competitor like Box if this issue isn't resolved ASAP. I read several post from this forum mentioning other users experienced the same issue and it has been years with no resolution. This is not an option here. I'll will contact Dropbox by X as well and leave several negative reviews if this is not resolved soon. I just want to fix my link sharing and resolve this issue ASAP. PLEASE ADVISE.106Views1like4CommentsI accidentally unshared a folder and now I can't add it back to my account.

I am getting the following message when I try to share a specific folder Can’t share file Error in call to API function /2/sharing/create_shared_link_with_settings: We’ve interrupted your sharing activity because you tried to share a file that may contain malware. I don't believe that any files in the folder contain malware and don't have any information about how to resolve the issue. What to do?203Views0likes4CommentsI'm still unable to share my files, even though 24h have passed.
Hello, I believe I got banned for trying to share a link with contained a malware, as per dropbox. The was not really infected nor had a malware, but based on the articled I have read, I understood this is a 24h ban. This timeframe has passed, but I still cannot share anything from my dropbox and it gives an error as something went wrong. It also says it's something from Dropbox side, but the issue is that this is getting frustrated and cannot use this service anymore. Can someone assist me on this? Thank you very muchSolved567Views0likes7CommentsShared links disabled
Hi I hope you doing well. I've integrated dropbox wih my laravel app. I'm facing an issue is, I'm uploading multiple images to dropbox of a single product. So when I fetch those images using shared links stored in database, images are being displayed correctly when page loads for the first time. But when I reload the page, images get broken and when I researched on it, it shows me links are temporarily disabled. So the purpose of my discussion is, is there anyway that shared links never get disabled no matter how many times page loads? If yes then please guide me about it. Thanks, Regrads269Views0likes1CommentGetting a warning triangle when sending out documents for signature on Dropbox Sign

Hi Dropbox Community, I’m reaching out as a long-time Dropbox user of over 10 years, and I’m currently in a tough situation. Yesterday, I received a message saying, "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity because your files might contain phishing content," - I cannot share ANY folders or files and this is really going to impact my small business. I rely heavily on Dropbox to share essential documents like PDFs, Word files, and Excel spreadsheets with my clients DAILY. This interruption has left me unable to collaborate, and it will undoubtedly cause many embarrassing moments. I’m worried it will make me look unreliable to my clients, which is definitely not the impression I want to give. The potential effect on my business and income is quite concerning. I appreciate all of Dropbox's security measures, but I’m reaching out to see if anyone here has faced a similar issue or has advice on how to resolve this quickly. Restoring my file-sharing capabilities is critical for my operations. Thank you for any help or insights you can provide!152Views0likes1Comment"You need permission to perform this action" each time I'm creating a folder.
I have searched through the forum for a solution but have yet to find one. I am using the desktop and trying to create a folder and keep getting the error, "destination folder access denied" "you need permission to perform this action". I have unchecked "read only" in the properties and it re-checks "read only" as soon as I go back to try to create a folder. I am the owner, administrator etc of this computer and I pay for a drop box plan. I recently got a new computer and have had this issue ever since! I should not have to log into dropbox online every time I want to create a folder. I am running windows 11. I have ensured that I have the proper permissions checked. I do not know what else I can do at this point. Please help, as this is affecting my day to day business.1.5KViews0likes9Comments
