Hello, I've been having trouble sharing a file or folder for days I always get the message: Can’t share file We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement. I am not aware of any rule violations, no option from the link https://help.dropbox.com/share/banned-links applies to me. The Chatbot can't help, waiting 24 hours doesn't help either. i use this all day every day for work.2KViews0likes22CommentsShow a warning/alert if the limit on moving files on the website is exceeded
I had some issues trying to move several folders and files from one folder to another on Dropbox web, I was moving around 200+ folders with files and folders inside and it failed when moving them to another folder at the same time. I opened a ticket for it (#24692326) and also would like to Dropbox team to take a look at it, or if possible to show a warning/alert about the max. files/folders that can be moved at the same time on the web app. Thanks in advance6Views0likes1CommentI can't open an Excel document stored in Dropbox through my iPad Pro.
Through the ‘Recents’ folder in Excel, I try to open an Excel doc stored in Dropbox, on my iPad Pro, I get a request or which asks if I want to link Microsoft Office Mobile with Dropbox. It asks which account I want to link with; I tell it. (I have a Personal Plus account). It briefly tells me, ‘working on it’ then jumps back to the ‘Recents’ files, without opening the doc. If I try to open it from Dropbox, via the App, the same thing happens. The App Center in Dropbox is no help at all, it indicates that MS Mobile is linked, and as far as I can see offers no way of linking a new App anyway. Dropbox Support is worse than useless; as a Plus account, I should have access to live chat, but I cannot find any reference to or way of accessing this. I have already wasted several hours with this run-around, and am stunned by the poor design of this whole site.560Views0likes19CommentsCannot login to our Dropbox Team accounts, due to a CAPTCHA error.
Hi, We are currently setting up new Mac devices for our company. These Macs are completely stock with no pre-configured installations. We’re encountering an issue where Dropbox cannot log in. The error message states that a CAPTCHA has not been filled in. The issue is inconsistent—on some Macs, Dropbox logs in without problems, while on others, the CAPTCHA error appears. We’ve only tested in incognito mode on devices where users are already logged in to avoid interfering with active sessions. Troubleshooting Steps Tried: Tested on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox (all latest versions) Rebooted the devices Completely reinstalled macOS Disabled the firewall Connected to different networks to rule out router limitations Despite these efforts, the issue persists unpredictably across devices. Some work fine, while others do not. Could you provide any insight into what might be causing this behavior and possible solutions?62Views0likes7CommentsUpdated iPad to latest OS version and can't access my files now
I updated my ipad to the latest iOS and now I can't access any files on my dropbox on my ipad. The list of files in the folders updates, but none of the files will open. I occasionally get an SSL error message, but not always, but I have no other internet issues, so I think it's a server issue?34Views0likes2CommentsDropbox web keeps dropping uploads after a few minutes saying I have no internet
Hi, was wondering what the problem might be. Everytime I go to upload my file (a 40mb zip file), drop box uploads, but after a few minutes it stops. It shows by the file name 'Paused - no internet'. and also there is a brown label at the bottom of the uploads dialogue saying 'Uploads paused Make sure your internet connection is stable' But I have internet and it is stable, so I don't know why there is a problem.1.3KViews0likes16CommentsI downloaded one of my folders months ago and now I can't unzip it as it throws an error.
Hi! I downloaded a folder full of pictures and then deleted from dropbox. I didn't checked the files right after and a couple months later when i wanted to unzip i realized that there went something wrong since there was a 0 byte foldername.zip and a normal size foldername.n3QcyulW.zip.part among the downloads. Sadly I couldn't open that and the error message told that the destination path of the file includes caracters blocking the unzip. Anyone has an idea if it is possible to repair the file or somehow reach the files? It is a couple gigabyte so there should be something zipped. Hi, We are using the view permission link of our image links to our Amazon listing template but keeps getting an error like this: We could not access the media URL. A 403 HTTP status code was received. Ensure that the server or firewall configuration is not blocking Amazon servers from accessing the media. How can we fix this issue? Thank you!14Views0likes1Commentlink generates error (400), but copy-paste works
I have sent an email containing a view-only link to a folder that I own. When a recipient clicks the link, they get error (400) but if they copy and paste the link into their browser, the link takes them to the folder. I've never had this problem before. This is a regular folder (i.e. I'm not a Teams user). The total size of the files in the folder is about 700KB.Solved25Views0likes2Comments
