Hello, unfortunately as an admin I have removed access to my *personal* folder in Dropbox. What can I do? The folder can no longer be found. I accidentally pressed the Remove ALL button. Now all my personal data is gone88Views0likes14CommentsI'm missing one of my folders, even though it hasn't been deleted.
Yesterday I couldn't not locate a missing folder that contained numerous files, the folder has not been deleted and does not appear when I try to rewind. The activity does not show the folder nor the files. I work from several devices and on two of them I get the folder but only with a couple of files, but not the same files. Each of the two devices now has different files in them but Not anywhere near the original amount. There may be other folders missing also I haven't checked though. I have tried adding automation to a shared folder. It doesn't seem to do anything so I am curious if I am misunderstanding the feature. I have a main input folder that receives a folder with file(s) on regular basis. These folders have a standard naming convention of FirstName LastName Timestamp (yyyy-mm-dd HH_MM_SS) LocationName (example: John w Smith 2025-01-28 20_23_29 Main Office) The main input folder also contains subfolders with for each location. My goal is to have the folders moved from the input folder into the location folder. I added the automation: When files are added to "Intake Folder" then organize into folders grouped by Customer filters Keyword "Main" move files to "Main Office Intake." The folder is not moved. I do have permission to edit the folder. I am part of a team on the Advanced plan. When I look at the folder on a different computer/browser, it looks like the folder is not automated. For the past two days on the Dropbox website (Chrome browser Windows), I have gotten get Aw, Snap! or RESULT CODE HUNG memory error after waiting (and waiting) for the folder list to populate while trying to copy or move files. I have done all of the troubleshooting I can think of: My internet connection(s) are fine. In fact, I'm getting same error on each of our 3 different WiFi providers. My RAM says: 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable), and there plenty of memory space available on my Dell laptop. My Chrome version is up to date; and I have cleared caches, removed bad Chrome extensions, and even changed Chrome DNS settings. Same error occurs in Chrome incognito and in Microsoft Edge. I am not able to do this project on the Dropbox desktop or iPhone app. Failure of the folder list to populate makes it impossible to finish end-of-year projects. Is there something going on?
