Image thumbnail not showing up, only generic icon when i goto 'camera uploads' to try to attach imag
hi, i just had to reinstall my pc, reinstall dropbox, etc.. all good. but in outlook i goto attahc an image, i goto my 'dropbox\camera uploads\ folder, and all i see are generic blue icons , not the thumbnail image... how can i select the right attachment if i cnanot see it? this also happens when i use windows explorer, and i goto 'dropbox\ (any dropbox folde with images in it) help! ive got the dropbox sync on, its not paused... it was worknig fine before i had to reinstall. so i know it can work. not sure what options need to be edited, but dropbox is worthless like this thx
Dropbox not displaying in Chrome
Hi everyone, I'm having a strangely annoying thing go on today with Dropbox on Chrome. I didn't have it yesterday. First I can't display files sent to me via a Dropbox link on Chrome. The link displays as a Jpeg of the first slide and that's it (no dropbox menu or anything). I could display the file sent opening an incognito window, or on another browser (Safari). The link was Keynote slide document in this case - but no Dropbox file links seem to work on Chrome at the moment, though they do on Safari. Then I tried accessing my Dropbox account on Chrome and only got a blank screen just white screen with a black cookie warning bar on the top. Clicking learn more led me to Dropbox support website which worked, but clicking OK did nothing (I didn't take a screenshot). Meanwhile Dropbox on the desktop seems fine as well, as far as I can work out my account is syncing all my folders and files fine. Given it seemed to be something going on with Chrome, I emptied my cache, deleted cookies, restarted multiple times, updated Mac OS just in case, restarted my laptop again. The main page of Dropbox showed up where I could log in to my account on Chrome so I thought it was sorted, but now it only shows me this screen. It looks like it's loading but just stops there. It seems some setting on Chrome (?) but I can't figure out what, and I haven't actually changed anything between yesterday and today... I'm a little stumped, happy to have ideas of things I could or should be doing, thank you!
Can I customize the icon for my Dropbox Folder on my Mac?
I like to customize the icons for my folders. I can't seem to do that with the main Dropbox folder that looks like this: I see a large number of custom icons for Dropbox folders with a google search, so I assume there must be some way to customize the icon, but I haven't figured out. I am running Mac OS 10.15. Any suggestions?
Windows 11 Smart Sync Icons Missing
Hi I'm on Windows 11 and Smart Sync works fine, the icon overlays in Explorer just don't show up. Except for one thing: If a file is Online Only, then it has this (non-dropbox?) icon: That little cardboard box icon goes away if the file becomes local. But otherwise the smart-sync icons don't show up. I tried reinstalling Dropbox and nothing changed. Oh and nothing at all on folders. Any ideas? EDIT: Adobe Creative Cloud has it's own cloud storage and it's icons are still there. I know Windows has a limit on these kinds of icons. Is there any way to give Dropbox priority?
Sort by name not working on DropBox app for Mac.
Hi, could someone please let me know why the folders in my dropbox application for desktop on Mac are not being ordered correctly by name? The settings are set so that they should be, and all other files and folders on the computer are ordered as so. The folders are also ordered correctly by name in DropBox web, but for some reason, ordering by name in Finder doesn't work. To reiterate, ALL other files on the computer - on the hard drive and in Google Drive - are organised perfectly by name, in ascending numbers or alphabetically so this must be something to do with DropBox and or it's relationship with Mac OS. If someone could help I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you.
