Sort by name not working on DropBox app for Mac.
Hi, could someone please let me know why the folders in my dropbox application for desktop on Mac are not being ordered correctly by name? The settings are set so that they should be, and all other files and folders on the computer are ordered as so. The folders are also ordered correctly by name in DropBox web, but for some reason, ordering by name in Finder doesn't work.
To reiterate, ALL other files on the computer - on the hard drive and in Google Drive - are organised perfectly by name, in ascending numbers or alphabetically so this must be something to do with DropBox and or it's relationship with Mac OS.
If someone could help I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you.

Is there a solution for this in the meantime?

Hey EmreCengiz, welcome to our Community!
How are you currently sorting content on your device? Have you tried what my colleague, Jay suggested above about sorting your files and folders?
Any screenshots you might have are definitely welcome.
Thanks a bunch!

I realized that the problem only occurs when I use the column view in the Finder. But as soon as I switch to the list view, sorting by name does not work. I have attached images.
- JayDropbox StaffHi JamesOBVDS, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you try selecting that specific column with your folders (the second one) and sorting the files and folders by name?
Keep me updated with any progress!- JamesOBVDSExplorer | Level 4
hi, thanks for your reply. I have tried that, it doesn't make any difference, the folders and files still stay in the same random order. For every other way of organising available in that drop down Finder menu, they change and arrange themselves as they should, but for some reason with 'Name' it doesn't make any difference.
- JayDropbox StaffDo you experience the same issue when quitting the Dropbox desktop application and sorting the files again?
