This issue was posted here like five years ago by a different user and the fix worked for them but I've encountered the issue now and the fix isn't working. Basically, I've got a new Mac, synced all my files from my old Mac but they're mostly showing up as Zero Bytes and they're not openable. I tried going to my preferences->Account->holding down the alt/option key and clicking "Fix Permissions". It prompts me for my computer password, I enter it, it seems to work but doesn't. So I do it again, then I receive the error message in Dropbox: "Dropbox was unable to fix permissions in your Dropbox. Please contact support if the problem persists." I'm on the basic plan, so I don't have access to proper support (bad show, guys) so I'm hoping someone can help.37Views0likes6CommentsSelective Sync ('Do not upload' option) disappeared from Finder on Mac 14.7.1
So I've been using this option a ton before, like, when you work with a super large files and you don't need to upload them all while working on them, so there was on option in context menu "dont sync to dropbox" in finder, now it dissapeared? Is this bug or permanent now? Im on MACOS 14.7.1 and Dropbox v214.4.521771Views0likes5CommentsThe desktop app crashes on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS 15.3
I have a continuing problem on a MacBook Pro running the latest 15.3 Sonoma with Dropbox Plus. Periodically I will look for the Dropbox icon in my menu bar and it will not be there, and Activity Monitor says it is not running either. I'll start the Dropbox app again, and it will be visible in the menu bar until the next time it isn't. Seems to be random time lengths. I'm interested to hear if the move to the new DB version does offer any benefits at all. From all I've gathered, it seems certain features, that some depend upon, have been removed as more control is handed over to macos.499Views0likes3CommentsDropbox application not syncing with macOS Sequoia (mac mini pro)

I unsubscribed from Dropbox in March 2024 and downloaded all my files before canceling. However, when I checked today (January 2025), I found that my downloaded files are corrupted (Zero Bytes on Mac). Additionally, when I logged into the website, all my previous files were missing. In this case, what are my options for recovering the files? Would resubscribing allow me to restore them? I would appreciate any guidance you can provide.36Views0likes5CommentsMy Dropbox desktop app is stuck syncing 66 files on my macOS Sequoia.
Hello, My dropbox desktop app for macOS Sequoia 15.3 is stuck synching with 66 files. This happened to me last year and it took months to get folder synched again properly. Not sure what to do, any suggestions are welcome. I've done the classic steps of restarting mac, restarting dropbox etc etc I really would like to avoid re-installing and re-synching everything because that took a period of months to do, since it would not allow to let me synch all files at once.
