I am on the latest iOS and Dropbox for my iPhone 13. Dropbox 324.2 and iOS 16.4.1 I noticed that it was going forth between 5 and 4 photos left. There is plenty of room in dropbox. Nothing has been uploaded. I followed the instructions mentioned here https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Storage-Space/Photo-backup-on-iPhone-isn-t-working/td-p/515471for clearing the cache and rebooting. Still have the same issue and it won't give it up. Problem also exists backing up via cellular. Problem also persists after full delete and reinstallation of Dropbox on iPhone.Solved27KViews10likes42CommentsImproving Uploads
Hi everyone! My name is Kevin and I lead a team that's looking to make it easier to upload files to Dropbox. We are looking at the Dropbox website and mobile apps (both iOS and Android) to try and make uploading better in the following ways: Reliability: less likely to fail Performance: speed things up so you wait less Usability: give more information during upload so you know how it's going And much more. I'd love to hear from all of you about your experiences with uploading content. What is working well and what is not working well? What are some of the features you wish were available to make uploading easier? What frustrates you? Don't hold back. Here to listen and engage.9.4KViews10likes25CommentsStop renaming my files! (on auto phone upload)
Video files ( possibly photos too ) get renamed on automatic upload from the phone to Dropbox. There must be a really good reason for Dropbox to rename files and I'd like to hear it. It's very annoying because the file names are perfectly fine the way they are and so I can keep track easier for missing files, innterrupted transfers, moved files and so on. It's a mess with video files especially becuase: - Phone writes the video file with date time at the start of the video ( that's what it should be ) - Drobox renames the file with date time when the file was closed ( finished recording ). So, can we please not mess with my video files names ? Thanks ! video, file, rename, date, time, metadata, offset, unnecessary4.9KViews7likes5CommentsDrobox for Android - Upload Folder Including all Files and Subfolders
Being that android devices have a file manager, I was really hoping you could copy a folder (including all files and subfolders inside the folder) and paste on to Dropbox inside a Dropbox folder. Is there any possible way to upload a whole folder of files from the Google Android operating system? I don't think this can be done at the present time. That would be really super if you could. I am using Google Android's 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with the Dropbox app.Solved23KViews7likes13CommentsFeedback on the Document Scanning Experience in the Dropbox App
Hi, folks! My name is Ryan, and I’m a Product Manager at Dropbox, working on the Dropbox mobile apps (iOS/Android). My team is interested in hearing your feedback around the current Document Scanning feature (“Scan a document”) in the Dropbox app. We’d love to know things like: What do you use the Document Scanning feature for? What problems/issues do you have when using the Document Scanning feature? What do you wish it did better? Are there ways it could make your life easier? Are there things that you reallylike about it? We’re open and excited for all feedback — good, bad, and indifferent! This will help us find opportunities to make (and keep) the Document Scanning experience seamless for all users. Thanks in advance, Ryan & the Dropbox Mobile app team2.8KViews5likes0CommentsConnecting DropBox to Samsung My Files.
I have read that as of October 2019, Dropbox no longer supports connection to the Samsung "My Files" app. I suggest that Dropbox reconsiders this decision, because: 1. Other big companies' cloud storage services such as OneDrive and Google Disk are allowing connection to the Samsung "My Files" app. 2. Dropbox already allows connection to the iOS "Files" app. 3. This encourages Samsung users to easily use Dropbox within one files app, which could convert them into paid users. 4. This will not take away from the usage of the Dropbox app, since many great features are still needed to be used on the Dropbox app itself. The Samsung "My Files" app just helps to easily reach the stored files of many cloud storage services in one place, and nothing more after that. Thank you Dropbox team for all your wonderful efforts for us.2.3KViews5likes4Comments
