Dear team Searching for files (e.g. by name) on the iOS app is very quick and good. However, once found, it would be great if we could see the full filepath of that resulting folder or file (e.g. C:\Dropbox\.... ) so that it can be quickly found on my laptop or desktop machine. Can you add this feature please? (Under the iOS app, you can select 'Show in Folder' via the three dots next to the file, but this still doesn't give visability of the full path.) Thanks if you can help.27Views0likes2CommentsDo you access your Dropbox content on other apps outside of the Dropbox app? Feedback appreciated!
Hi everyone, My name is Emily, a Product Manager on the Dropbox Mobile app team and I am here because I wanted to reach out to the community to learn about how you access your Dropbox content outside the Dropbox app. We are planning to make some improvements to the way Dropbox integrates with other apps and want to hear your feedback. Here are a few questions to get the conversation started: What apps do you use to access your Dropbox content (outside of Dropbox)? What types of devices do you use them on? (iOS, Android, tablet, etc) How often do you use these apps? (daily, weekly, monthly) What works about this set up? What doesn’t? Is there anything you‘d like to see improved from the Dropbox side? We understand that everyone's experience may differ, so we welcome all types of feedback, positive or negative. We're committed to continuously improving our product so your feedback will help us make it better. Thank you in advance for your time and input. We're excited to hear what you have to say! I Have an iPhone and some few times pictures are uploaded into Dropbox as DNG or PNG files. How this can be avoided? I would like ALL pictures uploaded the same format as JPG files. Thanks for your help.11Views0likes1CommentPlease remove the scroll bar on the mobile app
Could you please remove the scroll bar? It gets in the way. When I open Dropbox to download a file I just uploaded, I have to wait a few seconds for the scroll bar to disappear. It's a mobile app for touchscreens. Why do we need a scroll bar, anyway? The entire screen is a scroll bar.492Views0likes7CommentsDropbox iOS app stuck on "Signing out" screen
Dear all, since yesterday evening, the screen of my app is almost on a freeze. When opening the app, it wants to sign out, with the rectangle in motion, elsewise nothing happening. Is this a bug others are encountering, too, and, more importantly, how to remedy it? Better wait for a update, or uninstall/reinstall (which could jeopardize my photo sync to my mac)? Any help appreciated! Many thanks!Solved33Views0likes2CommentsAfter reinstalling Dropbox on iPhone iOS version 18.x, uploads are very slow
Dropbox was taking up 90GB on my iPhone, so I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. That cleared the problem. But now it’s taking days to upload videos, where previously they were fast uploads. Internet speed is fast at home. Suggestions?17Views0likes1CommentInstall Dropbox on latest Kindle Fire Max 11 tablet?
I have the Dropbox app on my previous tablet, the Fire HD 10. At one time Dropbox was in the Amazon app store (analogous to Google Play store). It's not there any more. The Kindle is an Android device, but Google Play apps can't reliably be installed. I assumed I'd be able to install Dropbox on the newest Fire tablet. Not so. I spent an hour on the phone this afternoon with an Amazon CSR who ultimately told me that if an app isn't in the Amazon app store, you can't install it. Even though the Dropbox app is in my Amazon app library, I still can't download/install it on the new tablet. But I wouldn't expect him to know of a secret way to do it, or if he did know, to tell me. I can log in to Dropbox.com on the Kindle's Silk browser, but when I try to open a "paper," I get a message to download the app. 🙄 Yeah, that's what I'd like to do. I do have a Dropbox Plus paid subscription. It would be great if I could somehow transfer the app from my older Kindle to the new one. Can anyone help?375Views0likes5CommentsAutomatic camera upload not working after uploading 7 files.
Hi all 🙂 I’ve been having issues with dropbox on my iphone 12, if I open the app it starts looking for photo’s and then starts to upload, but after about 7 photos it stops uploading. Besides “camera uploads” it says “view folder” and in front of that, a triangle with exclamation mark appears in blue. But nothing else happens and I can’t view what the issue is if I click on that.. Yesterday I got to upload a few photo’s, then had to fully close the app and reopen and it uploaded a few again and stopped. Today a few uploaded again. After that, nothing helped so far: • turning phone off and on • closing app and reopening • turning automatic upload off and on • checked storage on Dropbox (only 13.5%) in use) Does anyone know the fix to this please? Thanks in advance!442Views0likes2CommentsDropbox app fills up entirely the local iPhone storage
Hello, I have a Dropbox Plus account which I share between my Mac, my Android Galaxy S21 and my wife iPhone SE. I am currently using only 22,1% of the 2 TB on my account. On her iPhone, Dropbox is set-up to upload all her pictures to Dropbox but it keeps filling up the local storage. The iPhone runs IOS 16.2 with Dropbox 310.3. It has 64GB storage. 36 GB are used locally for pictures. The goal is to sync all these pictures to Dropbox in order to reclaim the local space. I tried several times and each time Dropbox ends-up filling up the iPhone local storage with 6.2 GB data! How is it possible? I have read similar threads in this forum and applied the suggested corrective actions without success namely: -clear Dropbox cache -remove Dropbox app -restart iPhone -re-install Dropbox app There is no backup, no offline files set-up on the iPhone. Do you have any suggestion? Currently the presence of the Dropbox app on the iPhone makes the iPhone totally unusable since it runs out of space. It is a quite serious issue! Any suggestion?
