I nearly go blind every time I open dropbox, how can you guys have been around so long yet you still don't have a simple toggle to change the CSS style to a darker color to not blind your users? Seriously. Can we please get a night mode?93KViews306likes201Comments- 40KViews142likes77Comments
Password protect Paper app
Why is there no way to password protect the Dropbox Paper mobil app? I mean are you kidding me? I really wanted to use this app to keep passwords so I could go from desktop to mobil and quickly look up a password or some other secret document but to my surprise, after initially setting up DB Paper, it opens right up to my save secret document. the Dropbox app has a 4-digit password, how freaking hard would it be to put that in the Paper app?24KViews36likes15CommentsSpeed controls in the mobile app for audio and video files
The fact that I can easily play almost any audio or video file in my iOS is just another reason I've stayed with Dropbox over the past 10 years. The new feature I'd love to see the ability to do a 2x or 4x speed on the audio/video inside the iOS app. This is available on the web interface. Please oh please put it in the iOS app as well. Life-changing for audiobooks, webinars, trainings, etc.17KViews31likes20CommentsStore offline files on SD card on Android devices
I have an ASUS ZenPad 8 running Android 6.0 and right now I'm running Dropbox on the internal memory. This works great but I'm using up ~4.5Gb of internal storage. I'd like to run Dropbox on my 128Gb microSD in the tablet but don't know how to do this. I can (and did) do this on my Window's desktop but that was relatively easy, basically just changing the location call for Dropbox from my C: Drive to the D: Drive. How do I do this in an Android system?17KViews27likes37CommentsSee a list of tasks within the mobile app.
Hi I'm using Paper to manage multiple ToDo / Task lists across a large construction project. It works great and has been readily accepted by everyone, they understand it and love the simple clean interface. To date all other collaboration attempts have failed due to complexity/ functionality etc. I've created a Master Index document with links to all the others and in this document I have a link 'Your Tasks' which uses https://paper.dropbox.com/tasks to take the user to a list of all tasks assigned to them across multiple documents. This works well but for me it would be much better if Tasks was a menu item in the sidebar, alongside recents, docs, favourites. Presently there doesn't seem to be a way of finding / listing your tasks on the mobile app, is this planned? Finally what would be really great is the ability to list all tasks by person either across a project or perhaps that you have created. Thanks Dave11KViews23likes13CommentsView dropbox backups on app
As described in this thread, the new version of dropbox backup is great but has a major downside: files stored via backups can no longer be accessed within the dropbox app! Quoting @mbriney from the above-linked thread because I can't say it any better: I understand the principle of having the major "backups" be in a different segment of dropbox.. but it shouldn't be that hard to access all the files. Maybe inside the regular current Dropbox app, feature a button that allows up to actually open the files that are in this "backups" section? OR maybe create another "Dropbox Backups" app that will allow us to remotely view these backup files without having to go thru the browser?12KViews21likes23CommentsDropbox App text in monospace font on iOS
The Dropbox App file display / editor is a welcome tool on mobile devices. However, it displays text files (.txt) in a proportional font. If you are only going to show one font it should be monospaced for text files. Please change the text editor to use a fixed width font like text editors usually do, or add an option to show text files with a fixed width font.14KViews21likes31Comments
