548 TopicsI can't see files someone uploaded to my folder with the shared link
I am the owner of a folder. I shared the folder with the link for editing. The person I shared with uploaded photos to the folder but I can't see them. I can see that the person I shared with is listed under "Who can access" but I only see what I uploaded and I can't see anything she uploaded. I've tried logging in to Dropbox on my phone and by web browser on my Mac and still nothing. I've also logged out and logged in and it that didn't help either.9Views0likes1CommentI no longer see the option to leave a copy of the shared folder I'm unsharing to its members.
My question is what happens when I "remove" a share email. And what happens if I just delete the folder without removing the shares first? In previous versions of Dropbox I was able to un-share a folder (I am the owner) with the option to let other users keep the contents. I could then delete the folder without removing their content. Today (March 2025) I am not finding those options. Hi We plan to remove and reallocate the dropbox memberships of two team members who have left our organisation. However, they both had a bunch of shared folders which they are the listed owner of. Is there a way of seeing what all the folders a particular member owns are and changing ownership of all of them? I do have their logins as they were work accounts so could either do it via their accounts or as the admin of the team. Alternatively, if they are just deleted from the team, will the shared folders that they own also be deleted? Or will they still remain viewable to the other accounts that they are shared with. Hi. I installed dropbox on my desktop and created a dropbox account. I verified the email address. Someone is trying to share a folder with me but I am not receiving the email notification. The shared folder is also not appearing in my dropbox folder. I checked and there are no syncing issues. They tried removing me from the sharing list and adding again but still not appearing in my dropbox and no email notification. I have tried multiple devices as well. Hi, I run a Dropbox account for our local club of 25 members. it is the free basic account . we have a new member but I can't find now where you invite a new person , I can add their email address but that isn't the same as them getting an invite to reply to. The Team administrator has created sub-folders and moved some files into these new folders. As a team member I can see and open the new sub-folders but for me they are empty. The files that have been moved by the Administrator are still visible and accessible to me in the master folder not the sub-folders?? Not sure what's happening here, but when I go to share a link to a dropbox folder to my WhatsApp group, it says Learned's Hill Shared with Dropbox. I am doing short term work for a client (1 month) and they have shared a folder with me that I will need to access and edit via dropbox, which I do not use for my business. I created a free account, and when attempting to access the folder, it prompts me to upgrade my account due to storage. Though, I am not the folder owner, and do not need any storage whatsoever, as I use a better cloud storage, why would I need to pay for a membership to do short term edits to a clients documents.
