Upon update to business, hundreds of links from Premier Pro feature length film project have been broken. I believe this is because dropbox now points the files to a different folder. Redoing all the links is not practical. Need to find a way for dropbox to accept the existing links. I've updated to a paid account now in order to receive one on one support since this is urgent and impacts a major project. I've tried restoring using Time Machine, but there's not enough free space on my hard drive. One reason I upgraded was for additional hard drive space. I'm not sure. I really need the collaboration that teams offers. I just have one or two other people working on the project. Really need some help with this so please let me know what I can do. Thanks for any help687Views0likes4CommentsCan Dropbox Replay do version stacking, and how does it work when shared?
Does Dropbox Replay offer true version stacking? In other words, if I have 10 videos v1 through v10, will it be 10 separate videos in the folder and then my client as to go to the version with the highest number? OR, does it work like Frame.io where I can drag each subsequent version on top of the previous version so the most recent version remains on top? And if my client wants to see other versions, they can select it from the dropdown.1.4KViews0likes6CommentsDropbox link not working in Notion - "content not found" error (mac OS)
Hi all, notion cannot read dropbox links. how can I solve this problem? I can see my notion account and dropbox account is linked.below is the answer to the notion. I have tried those but it still does not work. I use notion desktop app in mac os. The issue might be due to a broken link or permissions. Here are some steps to fix this: 1. Ensure the link is correct. You can do this by copying the link and pasting it into a new browser tab. If the content does not load, the link might be broken. 2. Check the sharing settings on the Dropbox file. If the file is not set to be shared publicly or with the right people, it will not load in Notion. 3. Try generating a new share link in Dropbox and replace the old link in Notion with the new one. If the problem persists, it might be a technical issue with Notion or Dropbox. In that case, you could try reaching out to their customer support for assistance. thank you!4.2KViews0likes3Comments"Sorry, we were unable to retrieve information about your link" on LinkedIn
I'm accessing LinkedIn and DropBox on a Mac Pro using macOS Monterey and the Safari Browser. I'm trying to add a "Media" link to my LinkedIn "Experience" section. I click "Add Media" and select the "Add a link" option. I then right click the folder I wish to share in the DropBox section macOS Finder, select "Copy DropBox link" and paste the result into the waiting URL box in LinkedIn. LinkedIn thinks about this for a while then responds with: "Sorry, we were unable to retrieve information about your link. Please try another link." This happens regardless of how I create the DropBox link ie directly via macOS Finder or indirectly via selecting the various share options viewing the same directory in my Safari browser. I've even tried changing the end of the copied URL from dl=0 to raw=1 but get the same result. I'm sure this used to work fine. Anyone got any ideas? Is it DropBox (I have a 2TB subscription) or is it LinkedIn (I have the free account). Many thanks1.7KViews0likes1CommentEmbeddable videos without the ability to download
Hi All, I am working with a Business account of dropbox with the ability to switch off downloads. We are an event company and so we integrate embeddable links into the back end of our event platform to play video content navigable through the event agenda. We are able to get the embeddable links by altering the '?dl=0' to '?raw=1' at the end of each video link but when we disable the downloads this breaks the link. The content we embed is accessible for a limited period of time on our event platforms and is only for paying attendees, additionally, there are strict controls on our use of this media from the industry professionals who have given it to us. This means that having it downloadable and shareable is a nightmare scenario and could get us into very hot water indeed. I have convinced the company to continue using dropbox for its long term storage capabilities but this factor alone is being viewed very much as a dealbreaker. I am desperate to find a workaround for this issue or we will need to return to Vimeo for play-back, in which case there isn't much point in archiving the videos in dropbox. I vastly prefer handling files in dropbox so if there is someway to deal with this issue please do let me know!Solved6.6KViews1like4Comments
