I am a member of this Family Abo of 2TB. On my side, I opened a new folder with subfolder for being able to store photos of different users. my users, I gave the access, informed me that they can not upload their photos because of capacity of 2GB. If I am a member of this family abo, can I use the capacity of this family abo? YES or NO? ...if No, then I have to apply for a costly abo. correct?Solved197Views1like2Commentsduplicate photos without impacting storage
i have lots of photos and videos that belong to multiple hierarchies. for example if i'm on a trip and i record video of some concerts i'm at, i save those videos to a 'travel' folder organized by place and date and also to a music folder organized by the band i'm recording. this is really handy as i can share the entire history of footage i have of that band with someone easily by sharing the the band folder and i don't have to wade through the other videos/pictures from the trip. ideally, i could do this without impacting storage. after all, it is the same photo or video, and under the hood dropbox could just have two different pointers to the same video and i could share one pointer without sharing the other, thus not doubling the storage space. i think this would be useful for a lot of users!192Views0likes1CommentHow to stop shared Dropbox files from taking up my personal hard drive space?
I am not the owner of a shared folder . I only have editing access. I only add files into the shared folder, but now the shared folder is eating up space in my personal storage space. I have made all files offline but my Dropbox personal storage is still being used up. How can i still have access to the shared folders but not have them saved to my personal storage ? I need the files that I upload to the shared folder to be transferred to the shared folder's owners storage and not my personal storage.Solved507Views0likes3CommentsHow can I share files with other users without affecting my Dropbox quota?
I have a Dropbox Basic Plan but I belong to a group with multiple individuals. Some of these individuals also have a DB Basic Plan but others have Plans with different storage amounts. HOW do I share files and still keep my storage under 2 GB?182Views0likes1CommentShared files counting against personal storage limit
I have a free personal account with 2GB of space. I am also sharing files with someone who has a paid 1TB account. For some reason their files are counting against my limit and not allowing me to sync files any more. What is the fix?702Views0likes2CommentsHow can I access the files of another Dropbox account without going over-quota?
I had another organization share their drop box with me and now I am out of storage because of it... What did I do wrong? Can I still access it without all their files taking up space on my dropbox?Solved1.1KViews0likes6CommentsJust got invited to a Dropbox team. The shared folder is above 3gb. I need a payed plan to access?
I got an invitation to participate on a folder from a company that i´m working with. I´m on a basic plan (just joined). The folder has over 3gb and it doesn´t allow me to access it - basic plano offers 2gb free. The only way to access the folder is by upgrading my account? Or is there a specific setup that the comapny with a payed account can use to grant me access without having to upgrade my account?1.6KViews0likes6CommentsA shared folder is using all of my Dropbox space.
The fact that I joined a shared folder and it's put me at 29.2/2 gigs is ridiculous. I have 0 uploaded files in my account and yet I need to pay to use the basic functions? You guys should probably fix that. I see a lot of other threads with the same issue.304Views0likes2Comments
