Hi there I‘m moving away from Office 365 to Apple apps. When on my iPad, when I click on a Word file, I get the „open in“ button to open in Microsoft Word. When I click on a .pages file, I only get an „open“ button which, when clicked, opens the file in Dropbox with no editing options. What am I doing wrong? Thanks RomanSolved45Views0likes4CommentsNothing happens when I tap on the PDF comments on my new iPad.
Help! Here's what I've got going on. I have a 2,500 page PDF (yes, you read that right) I need to review and put comments in to. I received this as a shared link from the original owner. I have begun reviewing this document and entering comments while I was on my PC. I am trying to access dropbox on my iPad. It is a new iPad pro that's about two weeks old, so everything is up-to-date and modern. I go to that shared file and see comments, however, clicking on the comments does nothing (on the iPad). Normally, it would jump to the page and the comment's highlighted text or location on the aforementioned page, however that functionality does not appear to be present for the iPad version. Is there something I am missing, or rather, is there something that Dropbox is missing...? again, this functionality for me is 100% necessary as this is a 2500 page document and I am probably going to enter a total of about 250 comments, and it is necessary to have the "jump-to-page" functionality.329Views0likes1CommentExcel sheet cannot be opened on my iPad

The same she makes no problems on my iPhone, only on the iPad1.2KViews0likes6CommentsIOS Dropbox offline file need re-download if access from the Files app?
Hi, I have a dropbox folder contain many pdf files set to 'available offline ' on my ipad. However, whenever I try to access these pdfs using the IOS Files app, it seems I will need to re-download the pdf files so that I can open with other third party apps. I suppose I already have a offline copy of these files in the dropbox and why should I need to re-download them? Is there anyway to direct open a pdf using third party apps (not adobe reader) in the dropbox app?508Views0likes1CommentUploaded newer version of a file, but seeing the old one
Had this occur before. I have a saved file called (say) "Book" dated May 2023. I delete it from my Dropbox. I then upload an updated file, also called "Book" but dated January 2024. This must be correct because other people access it. I then later access Dropbox on my tablet. It shows the old file dated May 2023 which does not exist and not the new file. How can this possibly be?Solved956Views0likes4CommentsOffline files failed to download on Android mobile app
Been getting this error message in my app notifications an awful lot recently. It usually happens after I've added a new file via the share function on my Android tablet, though there may have been other circumstances too. (The most recent one was such a file, but this time the error occurred when I manually set the file to be available offline.) (Clarification--when I share the file/upload it to Dropbox, that part works okay. But it for some reason then says offline files failed to download although that wasn't what I was attempting to do.) It may be a false alarm message, as when I then force a sync to update my offline files, I never notice it downloading anything new, and that function always seems to work okay (so far). I haven't been offline yet to prove if files are actually available or not, though. I will update this thread in a moment with my app version and system info. Dropbox app version: 358.2.4 Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Android 12 This is something that's started occurring in maybe the past couple of weeks, unsure, but it's recent.Solved2.1KViews0likes5CommentsI try to open a file with Dropbox on my tablet, and all I get is a horse!
A horse? That's how Dropbox tells you (apparently) that it can't open a file? With no words, no explanation? No options for fixing it? A horse--oh wait, it's not horse: it's a unicorn! Of course. Never mind.729Views1like3CommentsDropbox app says not compatible
Confused. Have had Dropbox app on an Android tablet since new, but having just done a complete reset to get rid of some issues I can no longer download the app as it says it's not compatible with my device. All answers I've come across say it's because it needs Android 6.0 or above but my tablet uses Android 7.0. I can access files from a browser window but this requires downloading them first. I'm hoping there's a simple answer! Thanks.Solved1.8KViews0likes6CommentsAccessing old Dropbox account on an old iPad.
I pulled out my old IPad mini the other day (last update was iOS 9.3.5) and realized I still had a Dropbox account open on it with an email address to which I have not had access for about 5 years and this account holds old photos of mine that I do not think I have saved anywhere else. When I open the app I can see about 600 “photos/videos” but only about 10 of them will actually load for me to view. When I try to share anything or download any of the photos it tells me that that action failed and sometimes it will say there isn’t a connection to the server. I’m just wondering if there is any solution to this or are the photos that were once on there actually already lost? 😅714Views0likes1Comment
