dropbox keeps updating to beta when i have opted out of early access
I keep getting updated to the beta when i dont want the beta anymore. it sucks and i turned off early access in my account. can some smart person from dropbox just remove me from the beta forever? its horrible and I never want it again
Dropbox Business - No Option to Share Link from Computer
I have now lost the option to right click on a file in Windows Explorer then select Dropbox> Copy Dropbox link. The only option now showing under the Dropbox submenu is "Send a copy (business)". I use the copy Dropbox link option multiple times a day and wondering if there is a way to get that option back. I saw a previous from October where the Accepted Solution was to uninstall and reinstall Dropbox. I have tried that twice and it did not fix the issue. Still only have "Send a copy (business)" as the only option and I can't "Copy Dropbox link" The version installed is 192.4.4605 - which is the same version on my other computer and I don't have this issue on that computer.
Online-only not working in Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon version)
Recently I went back to Dropbox having read that it now works with Snapdragon Windows versions, but currently I have a significant issue. I cannot have any online-only file in my SP11, thus I cannot have all Dropbox files in my device. I have this in the main DP screen: Then I go to "Manage hard disk space", select folders and make online-only. In less than a second I get the message they are online-only, but they aren't. Any idea how to solve this? Thanks in advance.
I have two Dropbox folders on my Windows machine
I somehow have Dropbox in two locations C\Users\Doug\Dropbox (190GB - 302456 files - 22,746 folders) AND D\Dropbox (2.73GB - 290 files - 18 folders) When I went to the dropbox icon in the task bar\clicked my avatar\Preferences\Sync Tab\Move but when I did it showed the location as the D\Dropbox location. What I want to do is move the C\Users\Doug\Dropbox to the D Drive but do not know to do so as it is not an option under the Sync tab - Move. Would appreciate any help getting Dropbox moved from my C drive to the D drive. I am using Windows 10. Thanks!
I don't see any option to make my folders online-only/offline on my new Windows 10 computer.
Hello, I just changed my PC. I had Dropbox installed on the old PC in windows 10, I could see ALL folders and only sync in my local PC folders/files useful, which were downloaded on demand. Below, the gray folders were not stored locally, those with the green check if, we can see the options Make accessible offline, and store online. On my new PC, windows 11, impossible to find the same configuration, knowing that my Dropbox folder is 2To, and my local disk 256Go, I can not and do not want to sync everything. The ONLY option that I found that comes close to it is selective synchronization, which synchronizes only the folders I select, and only those are visible in the explorer. But that is not what I wish. If I need a file from the dropbox, I would have to open dropbox, go back to selective sync, find the correct sub folder, and add it to the sync, NOT POSSIBLE. The Make accessible offline, and store online options are no longer apparent, so the Dropbox application seems to no longer offer this solution. I checked the 2 Dropbox versions installed in the configuration panel on the 2 PCs, they are identical: 216.4.4420 MY GOAL: to find a complete view of the whole dropbox in the windows explorer, even if everything is only available online, and open the files I need to make them available locally. Thanks for your help, I didn’t find how to do it. Can be an older version?
Online-only settings not available under my app's preferences. What can I do?
I have Dropbox plus with V216 on windows 10 and options for online-only and smart sync do not appear under the sync tab of preferences dialog, I am only shown an option to correct incompatible characters for file names. I have tried restarting and reinstalling Dropbox but problem persists. At the moment, every folder I sync is available offline on my desktop and I am out of space.
