The previews of my camera uploads photos appear smaller on the Windows desktop app.
Hi, Normally when I browse through my camera uploads on my PC, I can see the pictures on the right side of the screen when I push "Example". These pictures are large. Now however I do not see anything at the most of the pictures, and small pictures on others. Dropbox is set to sync pictures so that they are available off line. Can anyoune help solve this? 217.4.4417 breaks screenshot pasting feature on Windows
A new update of Dropbox was pushed to me today. It added a new set of options related to screenshots. Show quick action after screenshot... I dislike this, I preferred just getting the notification, but at least I can turn this off. When Screenshot is ready... "Copy link to clipboard" or "Copy Picture to clipboard" I typically take a screenshot by pressing print screen, then pasting the screenshot in Discord or my art software, I REQUIRE this functionality to maintain my productivity. but I also like to have the image saved to dropbox as a backup. With "Copy Link to Clipboard", well, it's a link, Art software isn't going to know what to do with that, and discord doesn't inline images from Dropbox very well, so I'd still rather have an image in the clipboard. The 2nd option, "Copy Picture to Clipboard", well, when I try and paste, nothing happens. I want a 3rd option... "Leave Clipboard alone", just, whatever print screen normally does, just let it happen. Just Save the image to my Screenshots folder in Dropbox, and leave it at that, like it used to be. Is that too much to ask? Note: I do pay for Dropbox.
Viewing files locally is incredibly slow since the February/March 25 update.
Windows 11. Desktop app. Dropbox Plus Prior to the February/March 25 update, my files (any type of file, but mostly PDF's and JPG's) would open either instantly or within a few seconds. After the February/March 25 update, opening a file results in the spinning wheel of death and takes 20-30 seconds to open. If I quit the Dropbox app the problem is fixed and the files load instantly again. It's almost as if Dropbox is either force downloading these files from the cloud before opening them locally, or the Dropbox app is hanging for whatever reason. I have not changed any settings between updates and my preferences are set to Sync > "Available Offline" and unchecked "Save hard drive space automatically" This has absolutely killed my productivity as I reference these creative files regularly and having to wait 20-30 seconds per file opening makes Dropbox unusable in its present state. Has anyone else experienced incredibly slow file opening since the February/March update and is anyone aware of a fix on the horizon?
I can't paste the screenshots I capture on Windows
For some reason I cannot pate the screenshots after I press "Print Screen". I have dropbox on my pc set to copy link when image is ready and then there is a pop up on the bottom right when I take a picture and it says "press ctrl+v to copy" BUT IT DOESN'T work at all!Dropbox desktop app locks file explorer and syncs already synced files on Windows 10
Since the last update, whenever I open the Dropbox app it hangs the explorer syncing files that were already synced and takes forever to complete. Upon the app starts there is always 4-5 files syncing and usually after that keeps syncing files that are already synced. This issue actually locks my hard drive usage and makes it disappear from the Explorer drives as if it's not connected due to Dropbox app doing who knows what. As soon as I close Dropbox the drive is available again for usage and explorer works properly. Please fix this issue as it makes the app unusable and haven't had issues like this before. The last forced update caused all this issues and I wasn't even able to decide to install it or not.The Dropbox plug in for Outlook remains greyed out, and content doesn't appear.
I have a new laptop on Win11 and I added the Dropbox plug-in for Outlook. But it remains greyed out and the folder that should appear on the left folder navigation is missing. I installed the local app and that seems to be working fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, fully updated windows, the laptop, and the applications. Nothing seems to work.. I had wondered if it was due to my drop box being personal or if there was another issue. It was working correctly on my old system. Thanks
