Hello, We have just moved all of our team's Mac devices to 'File Provider' to enable co-authoring, and there's only one Mac device that doesn't have the option to add 'Dropbox for Teams' as a storage account in Microsoft Office. We have - Updated to the latest version of Microsoft Office (Version 16.92) Updated to the latest version of Dropbox (v214.4.5217) Have moved Dropbox over to File Provider (Sync setting says "You are on the latest version of Dropbox for MacOS on File Provider") Checked that we are running macOS Sonoma Version 14.7.2. Why can't we see 'Dropbox for Teams' when we go to Microsoft Word > Open > Manage Storage Accounts? The only options under 'Add Storage Account' are OneDrive, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint. Thanks. AKSolved61Views0likes4CommentsHow to view Backup folder on DropBox app?
Greetings community! Previously, I used to be able to see my Mac represented on my Dropbox as a folder (I had enabled the backup option). This was super convenient because I could easily access my files on-the-go using my Dropbox iPhone app. However, due to a computer issue, I needed to wipe my MacBook Pro clean and reinstall everything (including Dropbox). I enabled backup for my MacBook. However, now, it doesn't show me the MacBook folder like it used to. So I can't access my files on the go. It shows me that I have backed up my files and I am able to see them through a web browser. However, the folder representing my MacBook (backup) has stopped showing on Dropbox. Is this due to some update in how backups work now for Dropbox on Mac? How do I get the backup folder to start showing up on Dropbox again. Thanks!6.5KViews1like24CommentsUnable to Save 2D Drawings using the Dropbox desktop app
Hello, I work for a company that uses Dropbox for our file storage. About a month or two ago our team began encountering problems saving 2D drawings (.dwg) to Dropbox. This only occurs when attempting to save a new iteration and not on file creation. It seems to be a Dropbox issue and not the application as saving outside of a synced folder or quitting Dropbox before the save will allow it to complete error free. It appears that is a known issue as seen here: https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001017/were-getting-an-error-when-saving-cad-files-to-our-dropbox-team-account-/811753 Any solution to have this issue resolved would be appreciated!40Views0likes5CommentsI'm seeing a weird exclamation mark next to Dropbox on Xmind on my iPad.
Hello, My Dropbox app on iPad is not syncing with my Windows 11 desktop. For example, when I open a mind mapping software that I use (Xmind) and try to open a mind map that I saved in Dropbox desktop: beside the Dropbox icon, there is a circle formed by two arrows with an exclamation point inside of the circle. I cannot find any information in Dropbox support files on this specific icon. I am guessing it is indicating some sort of sync issue. I would appreciate your instruction and help for this Dropbox newbie. Thanks much! DaveSolved65Views0likes14CommentsI can't see the top level folder in Adobe after the latest Dropbox team update
Our organization (Dropbox Advanced) recently was migrated to the Dropbox "team space" file system model. I have encountered no unexpected behavior with interacting with my files in macOS Finder or Windows Explorer in the usual way. However, I occasionally will use the Adobe + Dropbox integration to access PDFs in my Dropbox folders directly inside Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Reader, both in macOS and in Windows. After we were migrated, theAdobe + Dropbox integration (under "Other file storage" in the Acrobat sidebar) only seems to be able to access my personal folder within my Dropbox ("/[FullName]"), not the top level ("/"). Furthermore, the file storage label under "Other file storage" in the Acrobat sidebar is still "Dropbox ([OrgName])" instead of the new "[OrgName] Dropbox" as it it labeled in macOS Finder and Windows Explorer. I have disconnected and reconnected the Adobe + Dropbox integration inside Acrobat in both macOS and Windows, and the behavior is the same; no access to the top level. Acrobat is up to date in all cases. Is this a situation where Adobe has not updated their macOS and Windows Acrobats to accommodate these changes? My iOS Adobe Acrobat works just fine with the team space model, with appropriate and expected access to the top level of files. Client had a Team and Personal account for many years and they were linked, allowing sharing from Personal to Team folders. Team account was synced from Synology Cloud Sync app. After changeover in April or so of this year, we received email to update Cloud Sync app and reconfigure using Dropbox Team service. Did so. Chaos reigned as all folders from Personal and Team accounts were duplicated. Dropbox support had us delete old folders which we did. Relinked Team account from Synology and it is stuck, showing errors on a few files. Deleted these files from Synology after pausing sync, then resumed sync, but still stuck. Stopped Cloud Sync service and restarted- still no good. Deleted configuration and re set up- still no luck. We are out of options and quite frustrated! Thank you in advance.313Views0likes8CommentsDropbox took away my AmpliTube 5 presets
Dropbox ripped all the presets I had created for my guitar program AmpliTube 5. I simply clicked the icon to turn Dropbox on, thinking I would be able to control what I saved there. But Dropbox proceeded to start storing everything on the computer and wouldn’t stop until all my free space was used up. In the process it cleaned AmpliTube of everything I had gone to a lot of trouble to set up. I don’t want to have to pay for more storage space in hopes of getting it back, unless I know I’ll be able to get it back and keep Dropbox from doing that again. The Dropbox Backup overview says: "Dropbox Backup lets you back up any file or folder on your computer or device to the cloud. ". But the PC backup only allows specific folders to be selected. How to I backup the folder "c:\ImportantFolder"? What am I missing? Thanks.Solved2.6KViews0likes13Comments
