The documentation states the following, but despite multiple attempts to upload a 250GB file through the file request feature, it consistently results in an error and the upload does not complete. Since we are currently conducting a Proof of Concept (PoC) and using the Dropbox Business Plus Trial plan, could this limitation be due to the trial version? Customers on Dropbox Professional, Essentials, Business, Business Plus, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise can receive files up to 250GB in size. I just created a new Business account and set up all the initial members. One of the people accidently selected the Merge option when responding to the invite and of course that did not go well. So I deleted him from our site but unfortunately it deleted his entire account (VERY BAD IDEA FOR DROPBOX TO DO THIS BECAUSE SIMPLY BEING A MEMBER OF MY BUSINESS SITE SHOULD NOT GIVE ME THE POWER TO TOTALLY DELETE HIS PERSONAL ACCOUT). So we got that sorted out fortunately and re-invited him using a different email address to make sure this never happens again. And now I just noticed that I have 32 External Collaborators on the site that I assume came from him even though he was deleted. How do I remove them? There is no way that DropBox should EVER have added them as collaborators to my site. This is a serious data security risk.8Views0likes2CommentsDowngrading from Dropbox Business to Dropbox Basic doesn't allow me to use Dropbox anymore
Hello, I write here about my problem with the hope somebody can help me. I always used Dropbox Basic with 2GB storage. With the same Dropbox profile I upgraded to Dropbox Business for me and my team in the office 4 years ago (6 persons in total). This month I stopped Dropbox Business since we started to use a physical storage in the office – before downgrading I deleted all the files from my Dropbox Business. Now I thought I could keep using my Dropbox Basic with 2GB storage but all the files I deleted are still in the bin and I can’t permanently deleted them. Somehow it’s written that I am still using 53GB of space but I can’t get rid of these files because I have no authorization anymore. I guess these files will remain in the bin for few months and probably they block my Dropbox Basic storage. Should I open a new Dropbox Basic account with another mail? Or is there a possibility to solve my issue? With Dropbox Basic I can’t even get in contact with the support and somehow I’m stucked... I am very grateful for any help - thank you!Solved25Views0likes5CommentsTricks for exporting file names to an Excel spreadsheet as index.
I have tried Zappier and other automations for exporting folders, subfolders, and even the files names to an excel spreadsheet to create an index or guide, even with the link for an easier access. Can anyone share a way to do such export or copy paste hack?580Views0likes4CommentsI opened a Business account for my team and lost my personal account - how do I get it back?
I wanted to set up a Business account for my team, so I have set it up using the trial period. But I didn't want to lose my distinct personal account (Dropbox Pro) with my private files. However Dropbox has now merged my personal account into the team. I see the instructions for removing a team member and allowing them to make their files personal again, but I cannot see how that can work because that means removing myself, but I also need to stay as member of the team. Completely stalled now - suggestions welcome!20Views0likes1CommentMass Deletion - Alert page, File Activity log, and admin Content view need more information
Trying to undo a mistaken Team Folder move outside of Dropbox, in a Team account. - There is an alert athttps://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/security/alerts/which lists the affected folders, their size, and number of files, and the date of deletion. However, there's no way to see the containing folder path (mouseover the folder for a tooltip would be nice), and clicking the folder name/icon should go to the containing folder underhttps://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/team_folders/home/in order to restore the file. Instead the only action option on this page is "Check team activity to see all files". The blue Restore button just goes to the same view, instead of providing the ability to undo the entire action. - The Activity view athttps://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/activitydoes provide path tooltips for some activities, but for the Activity type "Removed user/group from shared file/folder" or "Deleted shared folder from Dropbox", does not provide the containing path. An export of the log also does not. This makes locating the folders to restore more difficult. - The admin Content pagehttps://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/content/homeis effectively a file browser, but quite limited even compared to the default Dropbox file view. Especially, there is no Date Modified, and viewing the Deleted Files, there's no Date Deleted which would be very helpful.408Views0likes2CommentsShared links are prompting external users to join team

They ask to join are team almost every time and the point is to share the view. Thanks21Views0likes1CommentCan I become a team admin, if the current admin has left? I want to pay for the team plan.
Folks. as it turns out I've been uploading to a clients shared Dropbox and they stopped paying for the account. I just caught it after 3 years. The ADMIN is gone and Im only a support admin. How do I pay for it and become the admin? The old person is long gone and no one from the company is answering me. If anything how can I just move all my images to a new Dropbox? Thank you for any help y'all can give me. Walter12Views0likes1CommentBetter Sharing & Better Branding
Dropbox is wonderful -- I've paid for professional for ten years -- but it could be immensely better.. You will make more money if you do these two related things:) (1) The branding feature is way too basic. The options seem like they're from 1995. It would be wonderful if we had more options and more customization. Specifically, if we could create different branding for different customers, it would be amazing. (I use Dropbox to share pictures and videos with my customers. I want to put THEIR branding on these files and galleries, NOT MINE.) (2) The experience of RECEIVING shared files is HORRIBLE, for the people who RECEIVE the links or transfers. Even using the current branding options, Dropbox still puts its OWN branding on the page – this is confusing for the receiver. It's messy and ugly, and it takes up too much screen space. They think they have to create a Dropbox account to receive the files. You are trying to get sales, through me, a paying customer -- that is **bleep**ty. Please take all your branding and sales prompts off these pages, for us paying customers. Also, browsing through pictures on shared links is a slow and not-intuitive process. It would be amazing if you could make it function like[removed per the Dropbox Community Guidelines]. These companies create beautiul galleries, and customers can easily create lists of their favorite pictures. You could actually steal all their business if you did this. I am 100% certain your customers would love these features:)22Views0likes1Comment
