Since chaning to a mac mini pro, dropbox has stopped syncing with the new device. Some files started to sync, but now after a couple of months most folders are unsynced and files unavailable locally unless I use the web interface. Sequoia 15.3 build 24D60 Dropbox Version 216.4.4420 (216.4.4420) The app states 'You don't have any sync issues' yet it also shows 104,333 files yet to sync33Views0likes6CommentsAfter a recent desktop app update, my files aren't syncing correctly

The dropbox folder on my MacBook got corrupted. I uninstalled the app and re-installed and tried sync’ing from scratch. I’m only getting partial results. My iMac has 1,691 items, including folders with many more files enclosed in them. The version on my MacBook has just 1,475 items, all files, no folders. The folder structures look to have disappeared—some of the files in folders on the iMac are on the MacBook, but not inside folders, and not all of them. The version on the web looks just like what’s on the iMac. Why can’t I just reproduce (online only) the files and structures on the web and the iMac?12Views0likes5CommentsApp always updating thousands of files
Since a few weeks, my Dropbox app is always updating thousands of files, whenever my computer is started, taken out of sleep or hibernation. I think it started after I used Dropbox to briefly store a lot of small files on a secondary laptop. Searching on the internet, I have found more people with similar problems and I have tried some of the suggested solutions, but so far to no avail. This is on Windows 11, Dropbox plus subscription with selective sync enabled (my whole dropbox doesn't fit on the laptop). What I have done: remove and reinstall Dropbox; remove, delete dropbox cache folder, reboot laptop, reinstall Dropbox. At first the reinstall seemed to work but it didn't solve it permanently. Any other suggestions?Solved1.4KViews0likes21CommentsMy Dropbox desktop app is stuck syncing 66 files on my macOS Sequoia.
Hello, My dropbox desktop app for macOS Sequoia 15.3 is stuck synching with 66 files. This happened to me last year and it took months to get folder synched again properly. Not sure what to do, any suggestions are welcome. I've done the classic steps of restarting mac, restarting dropbox etc etc I really would like to avoid re-installing and re-synching everything because that took a period of months to do, since it would not allow to let me synch all files at once. Dropbox refuses to update or sync. It is like there is no connections whatsoever between my computers. I've just about had it with your product. It is moving from being next to worthless to actively harming me. Today I was depending on work I did at home and stored in my dropbox account to be available to me at work -- and it wasn't. I had to remote login to my home computer and email the documents to myself at work. Those documents still do not appear in the web app, the phone app, or the desktop app. When I remotely logged into my home computer I checked to see if the dropbox app was running. It was. It simply does not work! Moreover you have the audacity to put your icon at the top of all my explorer directory panes right under my desktop and give me no option to move it. Clearly, your hubris is inversely proportional to your competence. I would unleash the many expletives on you that I did in my office this morning when it was clear that you were going to stiff me. If you are an actual real person reading this, I wonder how can you work for a company with such a lousy product. One that arrogantly proclaims its garbage app to be so important that a user is not permitted touch its icons. As soon as I figure out how to move all my files to another service directly over the web you will be history. Now that I think of it, you probably actively prevent your users from doing that or most of them would leave you.68Views0likes4CommentsI don't see any option to make my folders online-only/offline on my new Windows 10 computer.
Hello, I just changed my PC. I had Dropbox installed on the old PC in windows 10, I could see ALL folders and only sync in my local PC folders/files useful, which were downloaded on demand. Below, the gray folders were not stored locally, those with the green check if, we can see the options Make accessible offline, and store online. On my new PC, windows 11, impossible to find the same configuration, knowing that my Dropbox folder is 2To, and my local disk 256Go, I can not and do not want to sync everything. The ONLY option that I found that comes close to it is selective synchronization, which synchronizes only the folders I select, and only those are visible in the explorer. But that is not what I wish. If I need a file from the dropbox, I would have to open dropbox, go back to selective sync, find the correct sub folder, and add it to the sync, NOT POSSIBLE. The Make accessible offline, and store online options are no longer apparent, so the Dropbox application seems to no longer offer this solution. I checked the 2 Dropbox versions installed in the configuration panel on the 2 PCs, they are identical: 216.4.4420 MY GOAL: to find a complete view of the whole dropbox in the windows explorer, even if everything is only available online, and open the files I need to make them available locally. Thanks for your help, I didn’t find how to do it. Can be an older version?13Views0likes1CommentMake available offline doesn't download files
I have installed Dropbox on a new Laptop a couple hours ago. I already created a new file and it got uploaded just fine. I'm also able to download individual files, when opening it. But when I right click on a file or folder and choose "make available offline" none of those files get downloaded. The green arrow appears, but the cloud with the arrow is still there next to it. I Haven't found a single file that got downloaded. Dropbox states, that everything is synced and that there are no sync issues. I have already reached out via Chat, but I'm not getting anywhere there. I doubt there is a real person operating it. I hope to get some help here.28Views0likes5Comments
