Hi! I need to force the Android app to re-upload all the photos in my gallery. I set it up so it uploads everything, not just new photos, but it will only upload new items. I believe it recognizes older pics as "already uploaded" and I don't know how to reset this. I have already: -re-installed the app -deleted the cache memory -deleted all files in the Dropbox camera upload folder -restarted the device -even tried from a new device with a different SD card but with the same files in it Still, Dropbox will only upload new files. I also tried manually uploading but due to the fíes being cover 1500, the app never stops processing the files and never uploads anything. I'm on Android 12 and no other apps are set toSolved7.2KViews1like91CommentsW10 - Dropbox desktop app hangs explorer
Since the last update, whenever I open the Dropbox app it hangs the explorer syncing files that were already synced and takes forever to complete. Upon the app starts there is always 4-5 files syncing and usually after that keeps syncing files that are already synced. This issue actually locks my hard drive usage and makes it disappear from the Explorer drives as if it's not connected due to Dropbox app doing who knows what. As soon as I close Dropbox the drive is available again for usage and explorer works properly. Please fix this issue as it makes the app unusable and haven't had issues like this before. The last forced update caused all this issues and I wasn't even able to decide to install it or not.5Views0likes0CommentsI can't sync files after upgrading to Sequoia, why?
Ever since the Sequoia Upgrade my Dropbox has not been syncing across my 3 devices. I have followed all of the troubleshooting suggestions without any luck. I just uninstalled and reinstalled as my last resort and still nothing. Has anyone else been having this issue?Solved1.6KViews0likes12CommentsHow can I disable the status column?
Dear Madam/Sir, I have a paid subscription of Dropbox and as a professional writer I use mainly Explorer and Microsoft Office with hundreds of different files and documents. I am orientated to the name of my files and documents, and therefore I don't want to see any other information, as it is very distracting and useless (for me) as well. Therefore, I choose in Explorer and Office for 'List View'. Since the latest Dropbox-update, however, a "status column" drops up and I cannot get rid of it. Please make it possible to disable this column or tell me where in the registry of Windows 10 I can change this setting permanently. Hello all, sorry if it exist already (did not find the response to this): I use my iPhone SE (2) app to automatically do the camera upload, which works fine to get the media on the dropbox. But, sometimes I plug in my phone (MacOS catalina, maybe also with Windows 10) to charge and dropbox copies all media again as dublicates. The photos were not edited in any way. Anything I can do to prevent this?18Views0likes3CommentsVideos are choppy when I upload or download from Dropbox
Hi all, When I upload videos I've taken on my phone to Dropbox, they're completely choppy when I play them back in my synced Windows folder. When I play them back on Dropbox web version they're okay, but when I download them from there, they're choppy again. They seem to be okay when I open them with Photos, but not Media Player. Regardless, if I then upload to Canva, they're choppy, and I need to be able to edit them specifically in Canva. I desperately need a solution. I've seen that other people have had this problem too but I can't see any solutions offered. I'm viewing them as MP4 files. Thanks, Jules609Views1like4CommentsMy Windows desktop app got updated and my files are no longer available offline.
My Dropbox (Essentials) recently updated to v219.4.4463. After the update, it started syncing or indexing a large number of files, even though I didn’t change any of my settings. Since then, the sync icons for files and folders in Windows 11 Explorer no longer make sense. My default setting is 'Always available on this device', which should display the green circle with a checkmark, but a lot of old files now show the 'Available on this device' icon (white circle with a green checkmark). Additionally, many folders display the 'Sync pending' icon (blue arrows in a circle). However the taskbar status shows 'Your files are up to date', and there are no reported syncing issues. 'Save hard drive space automatically' is turned off, and the default setting for new files is 'Available offline'.57Views0likes11CommentsThe Dropbox right-click options are gone from my Mac's Finder.
My files are all in the cloud. This restricts things I can do on my Mac; I can't preview or upload to the web, for example (which I want to do often). I thought one used to be able to right click in the Finder and make a particular folder available offline. But that's missing on my Mac. Right clicking in a Dropbox folder reveals nothing connected to Dropbox. Otherwise, files function and sync if opened and modified as normal. The Dropbox icon at the top right of the Mac screen is visible and seems to be functioning normally. Can right clicking in the Finder be turned on somehow? I have the option to make all Dropbox files available offline in Dropbox preferences, but I don't want all of the files—just some of them.248Views0likes24CommentsDropbox disappears from my Mac on restart.
