Being able to play an MP3 and read a PDF on an Android device

Be able to play a MP3 file on Dropbox and read my own licensed PDF sheet music using my Android 14 Tablet. This is possible on my MS Windows 10 laptop...

To be clear, if I use YouTube premium to play the music, then this works fine I can listen to the song and look at PDFs at the same time. I guess this confirms it's down to music player behaviour, but I'd have thought you Dropbox guys would have this sussed and be able to document an easy and supported resolution to this scenario.
