Being able to play an MP3 and read a PDF on an Android device

Be able to play a MP3 file on Dropbox and read my own licensed PDF sheet music using my Android 14 Tablet. This is possible on my MS Windows 10 laptop...

So the behaviour using the default (the one Dropbox uses on Android 14) MP3 player and PDF is that it stops playing the MP3 as soon as you switch to view the PDF. It's the same behaviour if you use Adobe acrobat reader instead of the OOTB config. Maybe it's Android and that it's not a true multi tasking operating system limitation, but it's a very degraded Dropbox user experience OOTB compared to windows 10. I'll try VLC player and surf the wider non dropbox forums for further advice.

Hey BriEngAcapella - could you clarify if you'd like to  be able to keep a file open in the background while doing something else on another app perhaps or if you had something else in mind?

You should be able to do both - as long as you have the software installed to do so.

Dropbox simply gets the files on to the device.... its the device that then opens them. So Adobe or similar is on the Windows machine, as an example, that is whats opening the PDF
