Unable to copy from a Dropbox only folder to my laptop - error code 0x80070780
Hi,
I have an archive which exists on Dropbox only (so not a backup synchronized with my PC). When I now try to copy anything from this Dropbox folder to the laptop, I get error code 0x80070780...

Can you make it available offline and then try to move it gavin something?

"What if you try to create a copy of this archive within your local Dropbox folder first, and then copy this to another location on your computer?"
Do you mean from the dropbox-only folder to a Dropbox folder that is then synced with my PC? Where & how can I do this on Dropbox? When I use windows explorer to copy I get the error.

Hey gavin something, sorry to jump in here, but could you clarify if this zip file is available offline on your computer or online only?

Online only. Apart from the pc backup, I have some files archived in a separate folder on Dropbox only.

That worked 🙂
It's not how things should be, I would expect a simple copy-paste to go without errors, but at least it's a workaround.
