Since the last few days, the Dropbox icon in the menu bar (MacOS) has stopped displaying files and folders. As soon as I type "files or folders" in the search bar, it displays all contents. Any changes I make (add / delete) are reflected when I use the search bar. I've tried various solutions suggested by Dropbox and other posts on the net, including uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. It would be immensely helpful to me to be able to automatically download every file to a folder on my Android phone when it syncs with my Dropbox account, the same way it does on my Windows PC. I can't seem to be able to find a way to do this automatically the way it works on desktop, and it's very frustrating. I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm using the free version of Dropbox. I am running drobox on a newer windows 11 computer and have all my files set to download and be available offline. In most my video folders thumbnails show for image files but not for video files. If I move this files out of dropbox (say to an external drive) the thumbnails load just fine. Therefore I am guessing this might be a dropbox issue. Some, but not all, of them do load after awhile. It has been several years since I was able to quicklook a file or see its thumbnail preview. I've had multiple different macs in that timespan. For the past few months I have been using dropbox backup to backup my desktop files and folders. Everything has been working fine until this morning when i updated my OS to Sequoia 15.2 Now my files and folders do not appear on my desktop, although the Desktop folder still seems to be syncing and can be accessed from the shortcuts in the sidebar in Finder.If i drag and drop a file to my desktop it disappears, but can then be found in the desktop folder in finder. Basically, I could see my file. But every time I clicked my file. For example, if I click the pdf file, it shows up unreadable.
