Full DropBox even after deleting files/folders

I tried replying to other posts on this matter but for some reason I was not allowed so I created this new post.

My DropBox says it is full however I deleted lots of files/folders.   The status bar briefly showed that I had deleted large quantities of data and I was in great shape however shortly there after it said it was full again.  I have one shared empty folder that I am using to setup file sharing and that is it.

  • Well I am a dumb A%& I totally missed the gigabyte vs terabyte drive limits my bad my expectations were way out of line.

    My Bad!

Hey Rayborne, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

The best way to check how much Dropbox space you're using, is the plan tab in your account settings.

It will let you know how much more content you need to delete, to be under quota.

Keep in mind that shared folders also take up space in every member's account.

So, if other people keep adding files to the folders, they'll also take up space in your account too.

Let me know if you have any questions!

      hey !
      my problem is similar.
one of my connected friends has only 2,0 GB.
in none of her files is content.
I can delete, reinstall, put in, delete again and on and on.
      nothing changes.
it's always 100,3% of data use.
