I have a question about the 2GB transfer limit. Can you help?

I have purchased Standard of dropbox, it states that i have 5TB of space. So why can i not tranfer files larger than 2GB? thats just stupid and a waste of time, i got dropbox so i could transfer my files to another PC easily and i cant even do that. Why does it have this limit?

  • It sounds like you're referring to the feature called Dropbox Transfer. That's not meant as a way to transfer files between computers that you own. It's meant for sending files to other people.

If you just want to transfer files to another computer of yours, just sync the files on the first computer, then install Dropbox on the second comptuer and everything will sync to it. There are no file size or bandwidth limits when you sync files.
