When I search my Mac, I get 100+ results related to Dropbox that I don't want

I've been using Dropbox a long time and never had this problem. When I use Spotlight in Mac OS 15.1.1 or the Finder to search, I get all kinds of results that I'm not interested in. This is a new problem for me.

ALL of the unwanted results are called "TXT.rtf"

The finder locates all of them here:  Home Folder > Library > Group Containers > G7HD34EQCAK.com.getdropbox.dropbox.sync  (Looks to me like it's got something to do with Dropbox.)

This is one of the areas of my computer that I don't mess with. But for some reason, Spotlight is finding them. I know you can exclude Spotlight from some things, but I don't know how to exclude a specific folder. Perhaps Dropbox is making a mistake. I don't know where to go with my problem.

Thanks for letting us know about this, DolphinU1.

Can you let us know what the sync status and version of the Dropbox app is?

You can see this info by hovering over your Dropbox icon in the menu bar.

Do you see any error messages?

And does the app work fine otherwise?

Let me know and we'll go from there.

    Hi,

It Shows "Dropbox 213.4.4597  Up to date"  In the lower part of the icon, there's a red dot with the number 5 in it. Not sure what that means.

      Thanks DolphinU1.

Would it be possible to send us a screenshot of that? Not sure if it's related, just want to make sure the app works correctly.

The attachment function on this website doesn't work. When I click on the little paper clip, nothing happens. If I hover over the paper clip, it reads. "Attachment".

Dropbox icon at the top shows "Dropbox 213.4.4597" on a line directly below it it reads  "Up to date"

Hey DolphinU1, sorry to jump in here. Can you try copy pasting your screenshots in your reply instead? That should work.
