Will I lose my files, if I leave Dropbox?
Hello, I sent this in Spanish, but in view of the fact that they do not answer me, I try it in English, although for that I have to use electronic translator:

Hey RamRock, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that closing your Dropbox account wouldn't be affecting any files you've stored locally on your computer.
If you delete files from your Dropbox account and you have the desktop app running, then, those changes will sync across your devices and the files will be deleted from your Dropbox folder on your computer as well.
Any copies of the files you've stored in other locations on your computer will remain intact.
As for the 500 error you're getting, could you send us a full-page screenshot, so that we can have a visual as well?

Well, I guess I do now. Let's see, so you mean that, if for example right now that I am with the PC running, I go to Dropbox and delete the account, what is on my hard drive remains intact even if I have uploaded things from that hard drive to Dropbox, this is accurate?
Now I don't get "Error 500" anymore, but what I see I don't understand, this is the screenshot. I do not understand this, can not you see the documents, images or videos as seen on the PC, ie, see some galleries with the images or documents themselves.
I don't know what I'm seeing, I don't know what can be inside those folders and I don't dare to click on them in case I mess something up.
By the way, I am sure I have seen a conversation in Spanish, but I don't see a forum in Spanish, clicking where I am told several languages appear, but Spanish is not there.- Walter3 years agoDropbox Staff
It looks that you enabled the Dropbox backup feature, probably upon installing the desktop app on your computer RamRock
You can disable it by using the steps outlined here.
