Backing up photo library takes too long.
hi i just started using dropbox and i have shared apple id with my mom but i got one myself and i now dont have my own photos. I am backing up the photo library on my ipad that is signed into my moms apple id and it has taken 3 days now and it still has 4660 left to backup. why is it taking so long?
And also when it is done can i download the pictures or send them to my iphone so i have all my pictures and videos
Awesome idalindum!
It's ideal to keep the app open, and patience here is key. Since the number of files is decreasing that's absolutely positive.
Give it some time, and let me know if you need anything else.

Hi idalindum, let's jump into this!
In regards to the number of files that are backing up from your iPad, to Dropbox: do you see the number of files decreasing as time goes by? If it's the initial backup, it could take some extra time, especially if you have plenty of images, and videos.
Do you use Dropbox in the background, or keep it open?
Once everything is backed up, you can either download the Dropbox app on your iPhone, and export the ones you want locally to the device, or you can export on the iPad, and send them over to your iPhone.
Keep me posted!
