Can't upload files to my Dropbox and files are getting moved instead of copied
Every month I upload specific files to Dropbox, to store as an archive. Starting in February 2024, files from one specific folder were moved instead of copied. Files from other folders are being copied, as expected. I noticed that the source folder was empty and downloaded the previously uploaded files, but now I can't get the new files to upload. A couple of times, it looked like it was going to work, but then I noticed it was going to move those instead of copy them, so I didn't complete the action. The rest of the times, I have the files highlighted, dropbox says to 'drop them here', but nothin happens.
I am on an up-to-date laptop using windows and chrome. Any ideas what's going on?
I think I found the issue. When I had to download the ones that "moved" earlier this year, it put them in a condensed folder with the same name - I hadn't noticed that earlier. Once I moved them into their proper folder and they were in the right format, they "copied" over as expected. Thank you both for your concern!

Sure. I select files from my file explorer folders and drag and drop them into the dropbox folder online. I'm using latest version of chrome and I'm on an up-to-date windows laptop. I don't use sync for dropbox - this is an account for a business entity that is shared with me.
The drag and drop is working for files in other folders - it's just this one that is acting weird.
