I don't see any option to make my folders online-only/offline on my new Windows 10 computer.

Hello, I just changed my PC.
I had Dropbox installed on the old PC in windows 10, I could see ALL folders and only sync in my local PC folders/files useful, which were downloaded on demand.
Below, the gray folders were not stored locally, those with the green check if, we can see the options Make accessible offline, and store online.

On my new PC, windows 11, impossible to find the same configuration, knowing that my Dropbox folder is 2To, and my local disk 256Go, I can not and do not want to sync everything. The ONLY option that I found that comes close to it is selective synchronization, which synchronizes only the folders I select, and only those are visible in the explorer. But that is not what I wish.
If I need a file from the dropbox, I would have to open dropbox, go back to selective sync, find the correct sub folder, and add it to the sync, NOT POSSIBLE.

The Make accessible offline, and store online options are no longer apparent, so the Dropbox application seems to no longer offer this solution.
I checked the 2 Dropbox versions installed in the configuration panel on the 2 PCs, they are identical: 216.4.4420

MY GOAL: to find a complete view of the whole dropbox in the windows explorer, even if everything is only available online, and open the files I need to make them available locally.

Thanks for your help, I didn’t find how to do it. Can be an older version?

Hello and thx for your answers.
Looking at your URL, this synchronization options should be different right ?

For information, might be important, here is my configuration :

    It's a Microsoft Surface Pro 11th edition.
As you asked, I disconnect and reconnect Dropbox App, but strictly no differences occur.

This error leads me to Comment résoudre les erreurs de synchronisation de Dropbox et d’autres problèmes - Aide de Dropbox.
I have no real errors syncing the selected files&folders, but that's not the way I need to work.

MY GOAL: to find a complete view of the whole dropbox in the windows explorer, even if everything is only available online, and open the files I need to make them available locally.

    Thx for your support.

Hi again! One more thing I’d like to ask is whether you installed the Dropbox app with admin rights during the last reinstall (this will help isolate the issue a bit more and check what else may be happening here).

Hello Nancy, and thank your for your answer.
For your information, I'm a professionnal IT support.

Yes it's correct, the same Dropbox options are not in my new are not in my new PC.
For this new PC, Dropbox is "synced" because I only chose 1 folder to test this selective sync, with 2 files in it. I tried to remove and reinstall Dropbox, but same behavior occurs.
No more options are coming up after waiting for a while, but now I can't provide you a screenshot about it , sorry.
Do the newer version of Dropbox disable those options ?
    Thx for your help !

Hey StephG75 - thanks for the additional information and clarifications on this - much appreciated.

These options should also be available on your new computer so we'd need a screenshot of the exact options you're getting to have a visual too.

Did you try quitting the app and relaunching it and/or signing out of your account and then back in to see  if you still get the same behavior?

Thanks for posting on our forum, StephG75!

To clarify, you’re no longer seeing the “Make online-only” option for your “Mes documents” folder, even if you right-click on it from the sidebar of your File Explorer, like you did on your old computer, correct?

Can you also tell me the current syncing status of your desktop app? Feel free to send me a screenshot of it, as well.

From your screenshot, it looks like it’s currently in the process of syncing, which could be the reason why you’re not seeing all options yet.

Let me know when you’re ready and we’ll go from there.
