"Make available Offline" does not work over cellular network - Mac
Hello all,
I have a problem with Dropbox when I am on the road and over cellular.
When I want to download files that are only online by "Make available Offline", nothing happens except that two icons are next to each other.
The file is not downloaded but if I double click on the file, the file will be downloaded.
When I am on a Lan or WLan connection, there are no problems.
I am connected to a MacBook via an iPhone cellular. The Mac is running 14.1 with "Low data mode" disabled in the network settings.
Is there any mechanism to save data volume?
Hey DropWolke, thanks for taking the time to post today.
We really appreciate the screenshots as well.
What if instead of right clicking the file and choosing 'make available offline', you click on the cloud icon with the arrow? What result does that give you?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Sorry for late answer.
When I click on the cloud, the file / folder is downloaded without any problems.
I didn't know about this option, thanks for this 🙂But normally the file should be downloaded, whether via hotspot with an iPhone or LAN.

Hi DropWolke! Sorry for jumping in.
If you hover over the small Dropbox icon in your menu bar, what’s the app version you see? I’d like to make sure that you’re currently running the latest stable one.
Also, have you ensured that you have a good connection, when using your cellular data, or is it intermittent?
